When you food combine properly such as not eating meats with breads you will find that you crave less and less carbohydrates such as sugars and starches. I am not a hugely overweight person but due to being in my late 40's and having a very busy lifestyle as a single super mom, I don't have the time to follow a very strict regimen. I am hitting this book again now due to allot of crazy changes the past year which affected my health due to several surgeries and lifes stresses. I feel like a million dollars when I follow the program.. alot happier, lighter on my feet, and have more energy to do the things I want to do.

Finally! Something that works and is EASY!
I've tried every diet known to mankind except the crazy extreme ones that common sense dictates are just not healthy. This way of living (I refuse to call it a diet) works! I was skeptical. I mean come on, Suzanne Somers has the answer to my problems after 40 years of battling the bulge? Well she does! That title does not lie - Eat, cheat and melt the fat away. My husband, son and I are all doing this and collectively we have lost over 32 pounds in one month - I lost 13 of those. And we haven't increased our activity or exercise. Best part is we in no way feel deprived. Granted the first couple of days I would have paid a king's ransom for a big, doughy bagel with cream cheese but after that passed it was smooth sailing. This is super easy to follow with no annoying points or calories to count. And you can totally go out to eat on this plan and not be relegated to only the salad menu. I highly recommend giving this a try.

Another great book!
Suzanne Somers has written several books on becoming healthier, thinner and this one is among those great ones. It's an easy-to-follow guide on how to eat and lose weight, without sacrificing good food. Once you learn how to eat what with what (and it's easy), you're on your way to losing weight for good. I'm what you would call a lazy cook, so I've tweaked some of the recipes she has in the book, but it's easy to do and still stay within the guidelines of not mixing protein and carbs in the same meal. The food list she provides is extremely handy and keeps me on track.

It’s a great diet and great book!
I absolutely love Suzanne Somers I have been using these works often on for over 20 years but mine burned up In our house fire! Started back on the diet and I’ve already lost 27lbs in two months!

Suzanne brings it all together in one book
I've read/heard about several different methods to manage our weight issues. For me, this book brings it all together and just makes sense. Suzanne gives great examples and testimonials. It's refreshing to read Dr Schwarzbein comments and how she supports what Suzanne is doing. The recipes are easy and fun using ingredients that anyone has access to. And she makes it so easy to shop with her one-page reference guide in the back of the book. I really like that! I would (and have) recommended this book to others. I've started using her guidelines and I'm looking forward to my fat melting away.

great weight loss system, plus I never felt healthier
I highly recommend this book for anyone who is trying to lose weight and get fit. IF you have tried everything else and are at a loss of what to do next, then what have you got to lose. The Susanne Somers way really worked for me. When you read the book, everything is explained about how the food turns to sugar. Here's the kicker, I am returning this book because I already have this one. Since I am restarting the program, I wanted the first book. This one is book #2. You can still start with it.but I wanted Get skinny eating great food .

Really interesting and very helpful. I will definitely be trying this new way of eating. If anyone is looking for a way to eat good food and still lose weight this is the book to read.

Great recipes and everything tasted great. My wife's last copy wore out so it was good to get a replacement. Otherwise a rather hard book to find but excellent value. Very pleased.

I have been on her program for 4 weeks and I have lost 10 lbs so far. I don't want to loose weight fast so my progress is perfect. I still have another 10 to 20 to go but I am confident I will get there! Highly recommend this book. So easy to read and follow, it's amazing. Her recipes are fantastic and full of flavor! I cook with her recipes on a daily basis!

Excellent book with lots of information about glucose levels. Great if you're a Diabetic and even if you just want to shed those extra pounds. Very informative for so many different things. I've suggested it to friends and family.
