Review: Works well - My elderly dog may have Sundowners, so my vet recommended using a dog-safe melatonin. My dog is 15 pounds. I gave her a full tablet the first night & she acted hung over the next day. Half a tablet works well for her. We are happy with how this product helps our old gal sleep through the night.
Review: Working for our 17 year old Dachshund who has wakefulness at night. - My 17 year old dachshund loves this melatonin. He had been having issues with wakefulness at night which in turn disrupts my sleep and that is no good! After doing some research I decided to try this product. I started with 1 tablet offering it to him in my hand. He wouldn't take it so I hid it in a piece of treat. One tablet seemed to have no effect. I increased to 2 tablets after a few days and he still had wakefulness. I tried 3 tablets(which is the maximum dose suggested on the bottle for small dogs)and that seems to be working. He generally will sleep for most of the night only getting up once to go potty. He has also started taking the tablets without having to hide them in food or treats. I read some reviews that say they stink. I don't think they do. They smell like beef bullion to me.
