Despite being on prescription medication, my Beagle would experience uncontrollable trembling and could not be comforted during rain or thunderstorms. During our spring rainy season, I decided to try ThunderEase out of desperation, and to my surprise, it worked! Now, during heavy rain or thunder, Roxie remains alert and a bit stiff, but she is no longer frightened or trembling. We don't have to use the medication, which had not been very helpful anyway. I simply spray her favorite blanket at the first sign of rain or thunder and wait 10 minutes for it to take effect. There is no residue left behind, and the alcohol scent dissipates within minutes. Given how fearful Roxie was, I honestly did not expect this product to work, but I am so glad that I gave it a try.

This has been a life saver with all these spring storms! It has helped our husky stay more calm during storms. It works best if sprayed 10-15 mins before the storm.

I wish it had helped with his car anxiety. We saw no change. I really wanted it to work because he is miserable in the car and has to go with me every morning. It was worth a try - I know it's not going to work for every dog. I don't blame the manufacturer. I have also tried a calming supplement, treats in the car, and putting his bed in the car, and those things didn't help either.

My little girl mixed breed has a few different “fears” that make her nervous occasionally. Of course, thunder is right up there at the very top. She falls asleep within minutes and it doesn’t take much to help her. That was 5 years ago and I’m never without this stuff. It’s in a base which contains alcohol and that’s the only odor this stuff has. That smell rapidly evaporates but the pheromone is on her bed or my bed wherever I sprayed it. She just relaxes and goes to sleep for a few hours. It seems to work better on some dogs. I guess I got lucky and I’ll never be without it! I also take it on car trips. It’s really a lifesaver! I purchase the larger size of 60 ml. The bottle I have now is at least a year old and still works fabulously.
