Granddaughter obsessed with owls, perfect

Ihad just been thinking that I had not heard an owl for such a long time, so I bought the owl book because I did not know enough about this night hunter, known for its capabilities to hunt just where it needed to to get prey. But three nights after buying the book which was one real eye opener to say the least I heard something on my roof. I put my CCTV on and low and behold I heard for a second time one beautiful Tawney owl sitting on my rooftop. How strange is That. It has made my year it truly has.

I bought two copies of this - one for each set of grandchildren - because they were interested in owls. They have seen tawny owls in my barn and met a barn owl and an eagle owl, which were brought to a family wedding by their handler. The children have enjoyed the book and are now keeping their eyes peeled for owls whenever they go for country walks in places where owls might sometimes be visible.

It's a lovely well illustrated book.

Wanted this book for a 8 year old who is crazy for owls. The information and pictures are nice, but all weights and measurements age given in metrics. I wanted her to have a nice reference book on American owls.
