Hallmark Press & Play Recordable Storybook: All the Ways I Love You

I have several of these books for my children and chose this one for a grandparent baby gift. It was a huge hit with grandparents and the parents alike. It is an excellent way to share a relative or friends voice with a child who lives in another part of the country or world. I chose this one for a younger child because it allows the child to push the buttons and hear the voice. There are other great books but my youngest (less than 2 yrs) loves to push the button which causes the relatives voice not to be heard rather the instructions for recording the book. These are a sweet gift to a child who may not get to be read to by someone they love very often but they can still have a special story time with grandma/grandpa etc anytime they wish.

I bought this for my 2-year-old grandson, who lives far away and visits just once a year. He was delighted with it - but when they say it is intended for age 4 and up, believe them. He seems to understand the words, but he was disappointed that his little hands weren't strong enough to press the button that triggers the recording for each page. And of course, he wanted to do it himself, rather than have his dad do it. Still, it is a terrific present for a child who sees his grandparent only occasionally. Thanks, Hallmark!

There wasn’t anything about this book that I didn’t like. I don’t get to be with my great-grandkids often enough so when their mom told me about this book I got one. What a wonderful way to stay in touch with those far away. The directions were easy. The recording clear and it was easy to know who was doing the recording.

My PERFECT grandson recently moved with my son & daughter-in-law to a different state. My other son and I took turns recording our voices for this book. It was such a fun experience! I delivered the book, personally, to my 10 month old grandson. His reaction was hysterical, looking from me to the book. Really, truly sweet!

We picked this up for a child who couldn't live with her siblings. We had the kids read the book to her so that she could hear their voices anytime she wanted to. It is a cute story, and a great way for kids to be connected to family who doesn't get to live with them. We have a similar one for our daughter that her aunt got for her. She loves having her aunt read to her.

Purchased this for our newborn grandson and 18 mo old granddaughter- my husband. And I recorded it together and enjoyed doing it. It sounded fairly clear and was easy enough to redo pages we weren’t happy with. We added sound effects to the reading which our granddaughter loves! My only complaint is that the page buttons are not raised in any way and she could not push the buttons herself. And she LOVES to push buttons so it wasn’t her. This is not a board book but does have hard cover. Wish it was a board book though because that would make it more durable.

My mom personalizes this book for my daughter and it’s perfect to always hear my moms voice. The audio is great and she even had time to ad lib extra lines into the story. This is by Hallmark and I believe sold my a third party so I think it’s a bit expensive but it conveys the traditional Hallmark Sentiment for sure!

I love these books. Previously purchased one for another grand baby who is now six years old. My voice recording,reading to my grandchildren regularly when I'm not available, is comforting; as the grow and find this treasure their words to parents: "that's granny!! in amazement that my voice is there ! This book is for the new grand baby. So excited to record for him. These are really keepsakes. The recorder works.
