The pins break if you push too hard, luckily they give you an extra set. The holes don’t line up very precise either. If the cap didn’t get ceased so tight perhaps it would work better but I would recommend anyone attempting to do this job to get the better tool from marine tech. And just use a compressor with an air hammer to knock the cap loose. ### ⭐⭐ Doesnt fit 2000 90 yamaha outboard!! *by H***E on May 6, 2025* This item may be good for some outboard motor but does not work on a 2000 90 yamaha 2 stroke none of the tools work for me and also broke the pins. Do not recommend buying these for trim caps on the older 2 stroke 90 motors !!!! Just use a punch and buy extra caps !! ### ⭐ pins are weak *by J***S on May 4, 2025* The pin holders seem OK but the pins bend and break under minimal force.
