So one of those non phosphate 50 or 100mg capsules is giving that much hoping that the body will convert at least enough of it to reach that 27 mg. So to equal the highest amount of bioavailable riboflavin converted from a non phosphate riboflavin pill you'd need two and a half of these 10mg riboflavin 5 phosphate pills. **Q: How many milligrams are in this product?** A: (per capsule) **Q: what is the raw ingredients of Riboflavin | Vitamin B2 sourced from and manufactured ?** A: Vitamin B2/Riboflavin is made by a fermentation process using corn glucose as the fermenting agent. There is no presence of corn DNA in the final material. **Q: Is this product gluten-free?** A: I don't know if it is. It helps get rid of my migraines. 8 capsules with a large glass of water and then chill for about 20 minutes. Migraine disappears quickly and no migraine hangover the next day. I tend to react to gluten and I don't react to this at all. B2, aka riboflavin, is a water soluble vitamin that can not be stored by the body. It has to be manufactured from food sources, mainly dairy and meat. People with a diet low in dairy or meat, or who have intestinal tract issues that interfere with absorption of nutrients from food, will tend to become deficient in all of the water soluble B vitamins. People over the age of 60 tend to produce less stomach acid that allows for adequate digestion of their food, so even on a good diet, they tend to become deficient in the B vitamins generally. Other causes of malabsorption are MTHFR mutations, such as I have, mold illness, aka Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) from which I am recovering, Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and other disorders of the intestinal tract. Liver disease will also contribute to the inability to methylate or manufacture B vitamins. This is the activated, that is, bioavailable, form of riboflavin. That means that the body does not have to convert it further for it to be useable by cells. People like me with MTHFR mutations that screw up the methylation cycle not only tend to become very deficient in activated B12 and folate, that is, methylB12 and methylfolate and we tend to also become deficient in the other B vitamins such as R5P. That certainly was true for me. Even in people without MTHFR mutations, folate and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) need R5P for conversion to their bioavailable forms, MTHF and P5P respectively. So if someone becomes deficient in R5P, for whatever reason, that cascades into deficiencies in MTHF and P5P. Low P5P is associated with breast cancer, particularly very aggressive breast cancers, per LEF studies. Symptoms of R5P deficiency include sores at the corners of the mouth, sore tongue, both of which I had with some frequency before starting R5P, dermatitis, numbness of the hands or decreased sensitivity to touch, temperature and vibration and visual changes, all of which this activated form of R5P will alleviate, while at the same time supporting adequate levels of MTHF and P5P. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a smaller dose of R-5-P *by J***I on Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2021* I tend to need smaller doses of supplements and it's often hard to find them, especially in their active form.
