Ergotech Dog Guard, Pet Barrier for Subaru XV and Crosstrek (2012-2017), RDA65-S, for Luggage and Pets

I purchased this for my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. I have a Siberian Husky who likes to make window art with her snotty nose on the back passenger windows, and I didn't like how she could get into the backseat of the car. If you own a Crosstrek, you know the cargo area is limited, so I wanted something that was custom built, didn't take away any storage room, and would keep my dog safely in the back. With this barrier, I got everything I needed. I absolutely love this dog/cargo barrier. The quality is amazing, and it's very well made. DO NOT WORRY about it shipping from Italy; I live in Alaska, and it arrived within the same week of ordering... WOW! The installation was truly very easy (all tools and hardware provided). From start to finish, it took me about 45 minutes to install it.

This is a great product; well-made, sturdy, clever. But our Jack Russell can slip through on the sides.

Perfect fit for a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. It is really sturdy and it does take some time to install (about 20 min) but totally worth it. It doesn't touch the upholstery, which is wonderful to not worry about rub marks. I have two pointers (GSPs) and it keeps them happily and safely in the back of the car. I was worried about the net-like material but it is hard and tight and my chew-on-everything dogs leave it alone. This a a great product especially since you can't find Subaru ones anywhere. UPDATE: after less than 2 years, one hard brake caused it to snap and the net to unwind. We will see how customer service responds to my inquiry.

Install was easy & design seems good, but the net apparently can't stand up to a little chewing. I wish the all metal version was available on Amazon.

Adding to the glowing reviews. I have a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek and this is perfect. Will help me keep the dogs I. The cargo area and help keep items from acting like missiles if there's an accident. Easy to install, took me like an hour, would have taken like 45 minutes but I managed to install one of the clamps wrong and not sure how because it's so simple. however it comes with easy to read instructions and everything you need to get it done. I ordered this on Mon and got it by Thursday

I’ve had this installed in my 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek for about a month now. Installation was fiddly, and required some minor body contortions, but was overall very reasonable. It’s the only barrier that didn’t eat up any of the already-limited space in the cargo area. My dog hasn’t been able to squid around the sides, but his head fits right through, and he continues to drool on the back seat. However, being able to keep him in the back has really reduced the amount of fur in other areas of the car, and has limited what he can drool on/lick. He’s managed to make some non-serious, easily-remedied “adjustments” to the barrier (slid it over, unscrewed a screw), but nothing that makes me question the effectiveness or quality of the item. He’s a good boy, and he loves the car! He’s just super-crazy-excited to get to whatever awesome place we’re going, and he hasn’t grown out of his enthusiasm. As others have mentioned, don’t let the shipping from the EU deter you. This arrived in less than a week.

This product is well made and came with all items needed to install. However, I think the directions could go a step further and add color pictures that were easier to read. Maybe my batch had the last printout and the ink was fading. A good clear picture of the end result would help immensely. In my case, I was just installing it blindly, not really seeing how everything would fit together. Ergotech, have you ever seen an exploded diagram? I am not sure if we are going to keep this thing on the car. I am pretty sure the first time we have to take it off to load something, its not going to go back on.

Shipped fast and easy to put in. But the netting fell apart in only a couple of weeks. Expected higher quality for the price.
