Mountain MistPolyester Quilt Batting, Craft Size 36"X45"

I bought this to clean the algae out of my koi pond. It really works but a little messy when it's time to remove it. I will be keeping it on hand from now on.

This worked for my purpose though it is a little thinner than expected.

We have a 1200 gallon pond with 4 koi and some tadpoles in Southern California which was experiencing an algae bloom. For 2 weeks the water was murky and green and I tried everything to clear it. Beneficial bacteria, water changes, Koi Clay, and filter cleaning all produced marginal results. Read an article claiming that this batting could help and figured for the price it was worth a shot. I cut the batting into 4 pieces and placed them in my waterfall. Every 2 hours I took them out and rinsed them clean then back in the waterfall. After 1 day of doing this my water is crystal clear! I went from about 18 inches of visibility to being able to see heads or tails on a penny 40 inches down to the bottom. Skip the chemicals and high priced pond products and give this a shot!

Using this batting brought back memories of my earliest sewing days, which go "way back" over 50 years ago. I am teaching some friends how to sew, and our second project was a reversible hand bag. We used this batting to create support and more body to the cotton fabric used, and it was perfect and so easy for the student to use. The bag came great--no hassles with the texture of the batting, etc. All is good! I am grateful for the very good price for this batting, and I am ordering two more now. Thank you!

The product itself is good. Apparently, I am clueless about weight and/or package size. Unless you're planning to stuff a infant pillow this tiny amount will not be adequate.

Perfect for a small/baby quilt. My quilt was roughly 36” x 42” and this was perfect for that size. There was still a little bit left over so your quilt could be slightly bigger than that and it would still work. I wanted this to be a baby blankie - to be used year round and this was a perfect thickness for that as well. If you are looking for batting for a winter quilt, you may want something a little thicker than this.
