Mo Willems (Your Favorite Authors)

My daughter needed to do a (2nd grade) biography book report and create a timeline. We love Mo Willems, so the subject matter was perfect. The bio is great, though I admit my daughter was a little disappointed there wasn't more about her favorites (Piggie and Gerald), but they were still part of it for sure.The back of the book actually includes a timeline as well, so it made it very easy for my daughter to narrow down some events, choose her favorite, and do her project.

My son loves Mo Willems, I mean he loovveesss MO Willems. It was always so difficult to find a book he wanted to read. I'm an avid reader and I didn't want to give up until I found something my son would love, too. I wanted him to experience what it's like to become immersed in a book.This book is a bio for young readers. It's a great way to introduce kids to bios and to nonfiction.Now if only Mo Willems would write a few chapter books! If he has and I haven't found them, please let me know. My son would think it was awesome, which would, in turn, make me awesome.

My 2nd grade twins learned about biographies at school and needed to do a book report using a bio. This book was the perfect length and level of detail for them to be able to read in one sitting, digest and pick out facts for their reports, and the subject matter was a huge hit when they presented their reports to their classes... pretty much every second grader is very familiar with Mo's work and a big fan! I was so happy to find this book, a great way for me to introduce bios and how to organize and write a nonfiction report with inherently interesting subject matter :)

My students have fallen in love with Mo Willem’s books. This biography was perfectly written to share with first grade students eager to learn more about the author.

Nice easy to read book to introduce kids to non fiction and what better than about Mo! One of my sons favorite early reading authors.

Mo Willems is our family's favorite children's author. We own several of his Piggie & Gerald books and is inspiring my eldest son to become an author at the age of 6.
