Total War by Redcon1 is a solid overall preworkout that has a perfect balance between pump and energy. Flavor: I had bought the rainbow candy flavor and it tastes just fine. Nothing to really write home about- however I am not taking this supplement for a tasty drink, but rather for a function. My only qualm with the rainbow candy flavor is that it has a slight... "fizzy" flavor to it. It is a little hard to explain but it almost tastes carbonated. Function: Total War has just enough caffeine to help you get to the gym (~250mgs) after a long day of work, and keep you working out. However where Total War really shines is the pumps that it gives. I have taken many preworkout supplements in my 5+ years of working out and Total War is certainly within my top 5 in terms of intra-workout pump. For those of you that are familiar with the supplement industry, I'd say this preworkout provides a slightly better pump than Nitraflex by GAT. A fair **warning** this supplement will give you the beta-alanine tingles (otherwise known as the 'itchy feeling' some preoworkouts give people) big time if you aren't used to high doses of beta-alanine. Mix-ability: Dissolves completely when mixed with 8 - 16 oz of water, just like it should. It still blows my mind that there are companies in the supplement industry that fail this basic test so hard. Overall thoughts: As I had said in the beginning, this is a solid overall preworkout for any typical gym goer. More experienced pre-workout users may find this product pretty middle of the line, while those that have a bit less skin in the game may find this to be a pretty strong product.

It lasts the longest. Kicks in the fastest. And I can tell I get about 30% more out of every workout I do when I have it. The only issue is I can’t take it too late in the evening because it lasts so long.

Great budget preworkout. I've been taking this for awhile now and it still had good effectiveness. Really hard to beat for the price. Gives nice sustained energy for workouts, you can feel the tingles (I wouldn't buy if you don't like this). Flavors are great and mixes relatively easily with minimal clumping. Overall, it's a great value.

Let me preface by saying I like Redcon products- as a whole. But this was literally like driving artificial sweetener and nothing more. The chemical taste was disgusting. And much to my disappointment when I looked at the ingredients I could tell why- Maltodextrin. For anyone reading this, Maltodextrin has an even higher glycemic index (GI) than table sugar. This means that maltodextrin can cause a sharp increase, or spike, in your blood sugar - more then real sugar. It also negatively impacts your gut microbiome and has been shown to diminish the amount of healthy bacteria in the gut. I was really upset to see this because I combed the ingredient label prior to ordering and the label for the flavor I purchased (fruit candy) did NOT LIST MALTODEXTRIN. And yet when the product arrived it was listed on the label. Super disappointed. I returned it. Not only was it disgusting to try to choke down but I disliked the misrepresentation and the inclusion of Maltodextrin.

This pre workout is pretty much cocaine i was sweating alot more than usual, i had muscle spasms and my thoughts were going crazy. Ive never had so much energy in my life i was literally nauseous from 1 scoop, this pre workout isnt for the weak and taste like straight chemicals. I love the insane amount of energy it gave me but it just made me feel like crap after an hour of taking it. This pre workout is like combining a 4 loko with a c4 energy drink. Take at your own risk!

I've been using this product for 1yr now. I've bought it a couple times and will continue to buy. I've tried numerous others and nothing compares. Energy is quick as soon as I drink it, it starts working about 10min. Keeps me going at the gym. Even after, I still have energy! The only one thing I'll say is it's very, very powdery. Smelling it makes me sneeze and it bothers me. The powder goes everywhere. Sometimes I have to mix it outside because of it. It's like smoke coming out once I put it in my mixer. Still buying more. I'll never switch. 42lbs down 💪

Best pre gets you going

The only issue with this preworkout is the taste, however, that could only be for myself. Otherwise great amount of caffeine and the formula is definitely there.

Finally found a preworkout that wakes me up properly for a workout. Gives a nice jolt and turns on the energy. And it actually has flavour and sweetness. All the preworkouts i've tried so far tasted like bland lightly sugared water. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the scoop. The container is small (which is fine) but the scoop is big. Yet in the instructions it says a single serving is a half a scoop. So why no make the scoop half the size then? It would fit in the container better and you wouldn't have to measure it to fill it half way. Regardless, the product tastes great and actually works, so 5 stars from me.
