It's very bright works great.
They work well as described by the seller. Definitely very easy to work out of the hood at night. They're very bright. The only challenge is hiding the wires, but can be achieved with patients.

Great and inexpensive auto upgrade
This is a great item is ee under the hood to check fluid levels in the early evening or after darkness. Wired without the push down switch - just taped the toggle switch to the back firewall. Use some 3/4" or 1" stick on wire finger clips to secure under the hood. Mounted on both sides of the hood. Check the wiring layout because I needed to mount the crossover wire windshield side. wire was slightly short to mount the driver side strip crossover wire to the front latch side edge. Lots of mounting options. Very cheap and useful auto upgrade for any vehicle.

Good for the money
The media could not be loaded. This thing rocks I like to work on my truck late at night when I get off work and don't have a garage with lighting to put it in and it's surprisingly bright and it's stuck really well for its cost things pretty easy to install you just stick it on stick two wires to your battery I just found a hole that already existed in the fender and put the switch there hardest thing about installing it was really just hiding the wiring I know a lot of these reviews kind of suck at showing what the actual product does and what it looks like so I'll link a video of opening up the hood and showing how bright it is unfortunately it's daylight out so it's not really doing justice but it's more than bright enough to replace spark plugs or just jump start another car

bright
This is a nice light set up, it looks like the photos in the ad. I didn't use the switch that it came with as I was using a hood switch and push in switch. It does give off a large amount of light to let you see under the hood at night. I also liked the self adhesive tape, I added my own mmm tape on the back of it to just make sure it stays in place. Would recommend.

Perfect addition to vehicles that lack under hood lights
Not sure when manuf stopped putting lights under the hood? but neither my 2003 Ford or 2003 GMC have them. I like to check my oil levels when I fuel (usually at night) and it’s a pain not having a light. these installed easy the ford required no drilling and the GMC need one hole. They are bright, work well and the only change I made was using 3M mounting tape in addition to the factory tape. wipe down the spot where I wanted these mounted under the hood and stuck them on.

Nice Product…but not really “universal”
I really LIKE the amount of light it produces. I was really Impressed…at first….with the organized harness and the amount and quality of design. Then I started the installation. Like others have posted, …. the harness requires additional wire in order to accommodate installation. There’s sufficient to reach across my Ram hood, and I coiled/tie-wrapped the excess on the near-side… But to get the push-switch and the on/off Manual switch installed required addt’l wire… And the wire-guage is so SMALL that it is difficult to crimp and connect without breakage. I had to dispense with the push-switch entirely and just “ground” that wire. The manual switch req’d more wire to get it properly located/positioned, resulting is several failures due to fine-wire gauge. It’d done now and I like the result, however.

A must have for car people
Works the it needs to, I have it on both of my cars., it's very helpful if you need sufficient light in the engine bay, you don't need the more expensive one unless you really need the best if the best. Im happy with this
