Great keyboard
Built in gaming profiles are nice. Adds a lot of flair to gaming by highlighting keys for individual games. Out of the box it worked quite well, i didn't have to add any game profiles or anything, the one i was playing was already in their database of games so it picked it right up.Now, how useful is the keyboard lighting and such for gaming? Not very, i doubt people are staring at their keyboard while they are playing but, its really cool and was worth it to me. I don't mean lighting as in the keys being different colors, i mean lighting to tell you what is happening in the game. Such as the keyboard blinks when you get in a fight, and the individual keys flash when powers have recharged, my health bar runs across the F1-12 keys and decreases as I take damage and increases as i am healed. That is all out of the box functionality, no tweaking involved.Keyboard mechanics:I have a Logitech keyboard with their Romer-G switches that i use for work and then this one using RX-Cherry sitting right beneath it.Build Quality:I find the build quality to be very good, better than my Logitech Orion G910 Spark which i replaced it with. Sturdy, no rattling, The wrist rest is detachable which is nice.Packaging: It came with some gaming key replacements that add a little texture to the keys so you know when you are on the correct keys "WASD" and some others but i didn't put those on. It came with a keycap remover which was really nice and worked well.Mechanics: The key actuation for the MX Cherry switches is about twice the Romer-G switches. What i mean by that is I have to press the key down twice as far before it will register they keystroke but that is in line with what i've seen with all the MX key products as far as reading reviews on them. What does that really mean? It means the Logitech Romer-G switches are faster. It did not take me more than a day to adjust to the longer key strokes and now i don't even notice.Sound: Don't kid yourself, these things are not quiet. Reds are supposed to be the more quiet ones because they don't make the clicky sounds like the blue switches. They are not as loud as my Romer-G switches and it has a bit of a hollow sound to it but i think that is because they keycaps are physically larger so there is more space for the sound to bounce around inside the key.Ergonimics: This is the same as any other keyboard i've ever used. Only ergonomic keyboards are ergonomic. I don't consider this a negative.I would definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone.

The cherry mx red switches are extremely satisfying and responsive and are perfect for gaming
As my first mechanical keyboard I am thoroughly impressed with this product. The cherry mx red switches are extremely satisfying and responsive and are perfect for gaming. Its just feels good to use this kb. There is a range of customization options for the backlighting (even if the coloring is limited to being only red) and the interchangable fps/moba textured keycaps are awesome for gaming with. The usb passthu is a nice to have if you happen to need it, and the overall weight makes it feel very sturdy and high quality, which it is. There is no wristrest included but I'm not sure its needed as its a very comfortable experience and it quite ergonomic. I see some complaints about the arguably silly font type on the keycaps but this should be a small issue thats purely based on personal preference. They work just fine (it isn't hard to read or recognice which keys you're pressing). Wonderful preformance and experience overall and for a very fair price for whats included. At just $70 where most high-end kbs these days are $100+ even reaching upwards of over $150 you cant beat what you get in the Corsair Strafe. The next cheapest options are almost exclusively non-mechanical and lack any backlighting or macros. All in all you cant go wrong with this kb!

Amazing keyboard for a great price.
I'm writing a review on the Corsair STRAFE mechanical Red Cherry MX keyboardAfter updating my old motherboard I found out that my Steel Series (never by from that company, their FAQ for trouble shooting is worthless) APEX keyboard refused to work with my new ASUS mobo. Half of my custom built computer is Corsair (Ram, CPU color, power supply) so I decided to add another great Corsair item to the rest. This keyboard is amazing! The cherry switches are great for FPS like Corsair says and the fact that they give you gripped keys to replace the WASD keys or if your into MOBAS they give you an additional Q and R keys. They are very easy to remove and a key cap remover comes with the keyboard. The key response in game is great, after testing it for twenty minutes I didn't find a problem with the keys contacting and my character moving like they are supposed to.The gripped keys are wonderful added accessory, I play a lot of Overwatch and it helps me find my keys since I did not keep them at the default keys the game sets. The gripped keys have raised angled ends (W on top, S on left side, D on right side) so it is easy to tell when you are on the correct key if you aren't paying attention to the grip feeling. The raised edges don't get in the way if you are typing also which is wonderful since I type pretty fast. The keyboard has the option to turn the red back lighting complete off and if you chose to turn it back on it give you three degrees of lighting from dim to super bright if you play in the dark.If you are unsure on what keyboard to get or if you don't want to buy one of the more expensive keyboards from Corsair or any other brand out there I would recommend this one. No matter what keyboard you buy from Corsair its going live up to your expectations hands down. Corsair is a great gaming brand and I won't buy anything outside of their brand ever again. My next purchase will be one of their gaming mice if mine ever quits out on me.The only draw back that I could find was that because it is a mechanical keyboard with raise keys when you type it can be rather loud but if that doesn't bother you, I could care less, then you will love this keyboard.

Incredible build quality.
The media could not be loaded. The keys are so soft and a gentle glide over them could trigger them whitch is perfect if your a fast tiper and a gamer. The satisfying clack of the keys as you type is really nice and the light is perfect and if you have the software from Corsair I belive you can change the patterns and colours to suit your setup. The product quality and structure is impressive and has some waight to it my first words when holding just the keyboard with one hand were "Damn you could kill a man with this" of course jokingly, but in all seriousness the buld quality is amazing and the fact you can also remove the keys to replace them is a really nice touch. This brings me to the slight souring of the review. Due to poor shipping when it arrived a few of the keys had popped out rather through the poor handling from the courier service or sadly to the slightly poor packaging. However the customer service was grate and the have been responsive and apologised for the inconvenience.I was pleased with this over all responses that due to there being no physical damage to the product in part to its and I cant say it enough incredible build quality I forged any competition and was just happy with there quick response.Over all the product and the customer experience with there seller five stars all the way good job guys.

A great buy for techies!!
I researched several mechanical keyboards and narrowed on to Strafe MK2 & MK2. The difference between the two is full aluminium casing that Mk2 offers which was not significant to me and hence I opted for Strafe.Day-1, the keyboard fell from my study table with a loud thud. I thought my experience with MK2 is over, but then I was surprised to see it standing without any scratches. I realised quickly that build quality is great as they promise. The typing experience is splendid. Cherry MX RED are a pleasure to type. I believe one should opt for blue keys if they are are new to typing as it avoid mid strokes when you’re hitting adjacent keys.Icue software is great, but buggy. It gives you the flexibility to configure lights and record macros or configure application shortcuts with keys. I have configured several day to day tasks such as ctrl+A, C,V and S with right unused windows, ctrl, application and alt keys.I will highly recommend this keyboard. Be aware, it is heavy :).

Amazing keyboard!!
I love everything about it: build quality, looks, feels, performance, etc. This is my second mechanical keyboard and a first time at using Cherry MX Reds (used MX Blues before) and I gotta say I prefer the Reds much more due to the fact that it's much quieter as long as you don't bottom-out the keys and I just didn't like the "clicks" of the Blues.I wasn't willing to pay the price premium for RGB as I felt it was a waste anyway since I doubt I'll be looking at the lights over my monitor screen. The red LEDs are more than enough for my eye-candy cravings and the Corsair software does a decent job of managing it.This thing such a joy to type and play games on, I highly recommend this to anyone who's buying a mechanical keyboard for the first time or is just looking for a quality keyboard.

Recommended for people having typing jobs and competitive gamers.
Using it since June 2016 and never disappointed...coming from a 200 INR rubber dome keyboard...the worst part of the whole process was the learning curve that you have to go through to know about the pure magic that mechanical keyboards bring to you. Being a tech journalist I used to churn out 500 words every 40 minutes or so and used to work for 8-10 hours a day and the finger fatigue along with the wrist pain while using a rubber dome was too much so I had to invest and I don't regret my investment. the only complaint that I have is the fact that the textured plastic that is present on the top side of the keyboard is very difficult to clean and gets dirty quite easily...otherwise, the software experience along with the overall typing experience is just awesome. Cherry MX Reds are best all round switches according to me....MX speed is a newer tech but the extra investment that goes into it has very little ROI.
