But (at least) one magnet proved to be broken; this may have been as-shipped, or could have happened afterwards.They are indeed very strong, which is perfect for my application. The variation in thickness - you can tell because the parallel stacks don't perfectly line up - was OK in my case, but be aware if you need them to be spot on. This allows hanging the MIC anywhere that is magnetic, such as the cabinet, almost anywhere without a MIC clip to hang it on. (the recess is NOT an even metric size, it is 1/2")It takes two of these magnets to replace the original button. The magnetic strength of these two magnets add together is great and the strength of each magnet is quite high, making the pair very strong.I have bought several sizes that are quite close, but they were weaker and a poor fit, this is the perfect fit for these MICs.I also use these with a #4 flat headed wood screw on the edges of doors (at the striker plate) to hold the door closed without latching them.
