Game Changer.
This controller is leaps and bounds better than my previous PC controller. The wireless connection is very reliable and responsive. The buttons feel great, as does holding the controller itself. It's simplistic in design but looks really nice. There are RGB LEDs on by default, but thankfully they can be switched off as they are a bit distracting. There are a couple of extra buttons and a really cool feature let's you toggle a switch to change how the L2/R2 buttons are pressed down, so you can make the shoulder buttons act like a pedal or make them clicky like the face buttons. It came with a premium looking charging dock, which will light up until near full then it turns off. I am still a bit confused by the charging as the light would not stay on for long, until after a big play session then the charging light would stay on longer. At first, I was worried there was a charging fault, but after a week's use with intermittent charging, the controller is still going strong, but it's hard to gauge whether or not the controller is fully charged when that light goes off. But in my experience, you can't go wrong with pulling it from the charging dock when the light has switched off as it's yet to run out of power. The charging dock has the usb receiver attached to it for convenience but it can be unplugged and put into your pc usb port if you don't want the charging dock plugged in. A great feature! Overall, dare I say this is the best PC gaming controller I have ever used? It really is high up there. Thank you for reading my review.

Great controller
After owning 2 elite controllers which both suffered squishy triggers and stick drift, i decided to try this controller as it got pretty good reviews and it def doesn't disappoint, feels comfy, sticks work perfectly, buttons have a nice feel to them, also I'm not one for paddle triggers on the back of controllers but these are actually good and don't get in the way. The rgb can be customised so you can have what you like or none at all, and the overall customisation is very good, the dock is a part i do really like, plugs into pc and when you are finished it immediately disconnects and charges but then if you fancy one more go it instantly reconnects, very good price for what you get UPDATE: i did have issues with controller disconnecting randomnly, and changed the usb port from blue to the red (which has a higher bandwidth) after which it has worked perfectly, so whether the dock/dongle need more power i dont know, but def cured my issue

Premium Feel, Smooth Performance – A Top-Tier Controller
he 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller has completely exceeded my expectations. Straight out of the box, it feels solid and premium in the hand—well-balanced, comfortable for long sessions, and with a nice weight to it. The TMR joysticks are super responsive, and the option to switch between Hall effect and tactile triggers is a brilliant touch—perfect for adapting to different game types. I’ve used it across both Windows and Android devices, and the 8Speed wireless connection has been flawless so far. No noticeable lag, and pairing is quick and easy. The motion controls work well, especially in games that support them, and the RGB fire ring is a slick visual touch without being over the top. Battery life is impressive too—I’ve gone several sessions without needing a recharge. Overall, it’s an incredibly well-designed controller that easily rivals the big names. Whether you’re into casual gaming or more competitive play, the Ultimate 2 delivers comfort, precision, and versatility in spades. Highly recommended!

Impressive quality at this price point
I picked this up to replace an old Xbox Elite controller that had developed faulty buttons. I wasn’t expecting it to match the feel of a premium controller, but this 8BitDo genuinely holds its own. Despite being much cheaper, the build quality is excellent, there’s no flex, no creaking, and it feels solid in use. The software’s a standout too. Setting up the rear paddles, adjusting dead zones, and customising profiles is all straightforward and works exactly as it should. The addition of hall effect sticks at this price is a real bonus, and after months of regular use on PC, it's been completely reliable, no dropouts or weird behaviour at all. The charging dock is another win. The controller slides onto the pins with zero fuss, no fiddling around to get it to sit just right, which seems to be a common issue with other brands. It’s a strong alternative to much pricier options and has genuinely exceeded expectations.

Great product
Works really well, looks really clean on my desk and appreciate it's always charged and I can just pick it up and use it when I want. Only critique is it's on the smaller side for me but that's down to the individual

Works perfectly for Mac!
I hope this review helps clear things up for those who want to use this controller for their Mac computers. I initially had that confusion, there was no single comment among the reviews and in the questions, and it was advertised for Windows and android. Even the popular AI platforms were not conclusive. While ChatGPT strongly insisted it works perfectly with Apple computers, grok and claude said it’s didn’t. So it’s worked beautifully well, and seamlessly/easily connected with My MacBook Pro M4 computer. I’ve had no issues. It has Bluetooth capabilities, therefore the 2.4 GHz dongle is not necessary at all. It feels very sturdy and durable. Absolute value for money.

Better than 1st Party
Cheaper, more functionality, higher quality than the Xbox Series controller. There's no further discussion required.

Buy this if you run MacOS! Amazing!
For folks wishing to run 8BitDo Ultimate 2 on MacOS 26.2 running on Apple silicon. This will pair seamlessly as a Bluetooth controller but also in 2.4Ghz Wireless mode if when booting up the controller you press the Y button (Switch Pro mode). This means you will get Rumble and Gyro features as well. I have had some odd calibration issues in Steam in Switch Pro mode but I think this could just be a Steam bug as emulators seem to be fine. The controller itself is absolutely great. I have relatively large hands and have no issues with the size whatsoever. It feels premium (personally I even prefer over the XBox Series X Controller) and the TMG sticks are just amazing. No more stick drift! Can’t rate highly enough!
