C.S. Osborne No. 124 Upholstery Staple Lifter/Remover

The ease of using this tool is amazing, it works fantastic at removing bedded in staples. I have bought loads of cheap items to do this same job which were useless, but this just shows its well worth paying more to get something well made, sturdy and excellent at doing what its designed to do!

Nice to use gets under the staples that are below surface. Good sharp ends works nicely There’s 2 blades on this and you can work your way along lifting and loosening as you go then finish with some pincers Nice tool I use everyday and is standing up to west and tear quite well

I bought this to remove staples and tacks from some dining chairs I wanted to recover. I found it a little difficult to get the edge of the tool under the staples but once I had achieved this, the staples did come out, you have to be careful not to break the staple as you are taking it out, otherwise you need a pair of pliers to remove the broken staple. I could not get the hang of taking tacks out and just used the pliers. Did not bend or break and I used some force to get the staples out so I believe it is a great tool if used correctly.

Very effective staple removal.

Bought these for over 50 years, in that time a number have been misplaced or lifted (no pun intended.) Over time, the actual staples have become lighter, hence, they’re more likely to break, but this is still the best product for me.

Having used it on several different jobs, I found it to be well made but when used on longer more robust staples it would snap some of them and this made it more difficult to remove them. Overall it works really well and I would buy it again.
