Works Great! Now my birds take regular showers and no longer stink! I've had it for a couple months now and have had no problems whatsoever. I'll definitely get another one when it stops working. I think some of these bad reviewers may not know how to clean it when it quits working. Mine stopped while submerged so I pulled it out and gave it a good cleaning and it started right back up. I'm looking at it now as I type this review, still pumping.

If I could rate this with negative numbers I would. POPOSOAP Solar Pond Filter Built-in 3000mAh Battery Backup, 8W Solar Pond Filter with Water Pump, Pond Filter with Water Shortage Protection & Clear Tubing for Ponds Fish Tank Bird Bath Garden. First it came in a blank cardboard box, no POPOSOAP packaging at all. This makes me suspect the people on Amazon who sold this unit repackaged it as there was no identifying IE Company name on the box. Then It did not come with five feet of hose, more like four feet. Now for the worst part. The pump itself is under powered. It is rated, per the info on Amazon at Max flow rate of 6.83 gallons a minute which equates to 409.8 GPH. Not even close. The ad on Amazon said it is suited for fountains but it is not powerful enough to raise the water two feet. Then the connectors to attach to the pump, all but one was split so it leaked. The image on Amazon makes it appear the raisers from the pump to the water level are adequate to put the spout above the water but in reality there are three of them about two inches long so they do not even break the water level. The heads, sprinklers are about one inch in diameter much smaller than they appear in the ad. I do not recommend this product.

I took a gamble when I bought this because I wasn’t sure how well a solar pump would really work. I absolutely love it. I hooked the pump up to my pre-existing fountain and it works flawlessly. I love the fact that I no longer have to worry about running an extension cord!

The product was easy to set up and install. I do wish there were clearer instructions on how the different fountain spouts work. It has lasted so far and is a good value for the price. I use this in a traditional size pond and wish the fountain size was a little bigger.

This is an updated review based on seller customer service, attention to detail and product/part replacement. The photo shows the 8w model with the small fountain spray. Since I can only upload 1 video at a time, I removed the video of the 8w and replaced it with the video of the 25w model. As you can see the spray is superior and very tall. We submerged the device and placed it on a flat block stone at deepest part of our pond. Even with minimal sun exposure, the power of the pump shot a part of the pump off and threw off the spigot, we had to zip ties it to the machine so it wouldn't fly off! So I can only imagine what this does at full power in full sun. The pump comes with ceramic pieces inside and those black plastic spheres which are supposed to act as additional filtration. The machine is lightweight. The solar panel is large and somewhat heavy. Recommend a sturdy place where to perch it on. We are using our boxwood hedges, which can hold it up easily. The cord is a good length and can be easily used to wrap around rocks, foliage and other pond areas. It is housed in rubber, and looks like it would hold up to the elements. Shipping was fast and secure. Customer service was spectacular, thorough and professional. They made my issue right and went above and beyond. I appreciate them and Amazon for facilitating communication. I would recommend the product and the service.

So the description is a total lie:“ POPOSOAP Solar Pond Filter Built-in 3000mAh Battery Backup, 8W Solar Pond Filter with Water Pump, Pond Filter with Water Shortage Protection & Clear Tubing for Ponds Fish Tank Bird Bath Garden”! Maybe not total but the part about the battery is a lie. There is no battery. Sadly, I chose those one versus a similar lower priced pump because this said it has the battery built in. I had it for a week and it works nicely during the day after the sun comes up and it stops as soon as the sun sets or it gets more cloudy. The product might deserve 5 stars, but the deceiving description is worth minus1 star, so generously, I have it 3 stars.

Was disappointed with this product. Bought for a tank/pond which has good sun most of the day. Pond is less than 75 gallons of water and this pump would not move enough water for even the bell attachment to work. Having said that there's not enough water flowing through the filters to clean the water. I don't know if the pump/filter system is too small for the tank or if the unit isn't working as designed. Would be a ok set up for a bird bath as it sits. Too much of a hassle to contact everyone concerned and drive across town to return to Amazon. May find a use for it down the road. Have a larger sized, fully electric model ordered. Go bigger
