My tumbler hose is vented through an open casement window, whilst I wait for the end of lockdown so that my plumber can come and install it properly.My neighbours cat, who is otherwise lovely, comes in through the open window and basically wrecks the place. Any barricades, like cushions and so n, were easily navigated by the cat.So I bought and fitted this, and my kitchen is now a cat-free zone.I recommend fitting the tape to the window whilst it is closed, to ensure that the window will open and close afterwards without ant tape in the way.

I finally decided to try this after the mobile aircon really struggled on the hottest days in early summer. Some useful content can be found online as the fitting instructions included are not very clear. Once in place it looks a bit naff, but works surprisingly well.One thing to note as most people will have single hose aircon units; without air coming in through the window to balance the low air pressure in the room, warm air will be sucked in under the door unless there's a good draught seal. Then you just have to contend with dust from under the bed!

The product looked and felt like it was made well. Unfortunately we did not end up using it because the sliding doors of our place face north(ish) and the plastic blocked what light we get. It made it just too dark inside. I cannot comment on how it works with a portable air conditioner because we did not finish the installation before we determined it would not work for us. There’s a zipper door to grand entry and exit but I wish this was magnetic so I could get outside to the BBQ and deck easier. Still, if the layout of our place were different we would still be trying it.

Very pleased with this purchase. Very easy to fit, took less than 30 minutes, although there were no fitting instructions enclosed. The reel of adhesive velcro is good quality and gave very good adhesion to my UPVC window frame. The seal attaches securely to the velcro and provides a very good window seal. The zip arrangement allows the outlet hose to be fitted at any height and provides a secure fitting for the hose. Overall, this is a good quality product at a reasonable price.

I came across this product by accident. I have owned a portable AC unit for many years and the gap around the vent hose and the window never bothered me until I moved the unit to my office which faces a noisy main road. At the time of writing I fitted this seal a few hours ago. What a difference! The noise from the road has reduced significantly and is no longer distracting. This flexible seal is preventing the warm and polluting roadside air from coming back into the office.Even though the seal is about a meter too long for the size of the window, I have just allowed the difference to hang on each side and it looks fine because it is covered by the blinds.This type of seal should be provided by the manufacturers of all portable AC units.

Was unsure which to buy, but picked the right one, the window opens from top quarter outwards, you stick the tape around the window, so when it's open no gaps, which works great and then hose goes out and you zip it up.No air coming in or flies.I have an inventor aircon machine I bought an extra piping, so I can move it around.
