My Favorite Substrate
My Mom recommended this to me (she also gifted me all of my plants, I wouldn’t have ever thought to buy them myself tbh, but now it’s a minor hobby of mine while at home). This stuff is really versatile, and can be used for a huge range of plants (especially if you combine it with other materials), although it is best for tropical plants that need aerated substrate but also need to be able to retain SOME water and be soil-like still (as opposed to pure orchid bark, moss or similar stuff). It’s very aerated and hard to over water; it drains well. I had a money tree that was dying of root rot back when I didn’t know what I was doing, and I repotted it with this soil and the tree came back a within a week or two. I probably won’t ever use a different mix for my monstera albo or money trees, I like this stuff. It looks and behaves like a chunky soil, so it’s easy to repot with (the plant won’t fall over when it’s dry like with orchid bark, for example). I’ve also checked my pH on my monstera with this and it’s neutral to slightly acidic, so it’s good to go. Like I said though, it somewhat resembles normal soil (albeit much chunkier) so when you use it, it will make a mess and get things dirty as opposed to orchid bark or something. So plan accordingly when replanting inside or whatever. Good stuff and very good value for the price IMO.

Run don’t walk
I use this soil for all of my plants and they love it! It’s a great size value for 10 quarts, compared to other products and the quality of ingredient is impressive. My plants are very healthy and haven’t had an issue with root rot since I switched. It makes repotting so simple. This does dry faster than regular soil so you may need to water more often in the summer. I have over 30 plants and still have some left over from repotting all of my plants.

Wonderful chunky soil
I love this chunky soil. It's good quality and my Monsteras' thrive in it and my other plants as well. Pricey though, for just a medium size bag that will probably be used for one big planter, and not enough for another unless they are smaller, but as long as it works I will purchase because it will not attract those pesky fungus knats and bugs that live in the dirt if it's too moist. This soil avoids that. It doesn't retain water because it drains easily through the chunks. It looks great in the pot.

Great mix
This is a well made mix that is chunky and water retentive. I am impressed and will buy again when it is time to repot.

Green thumb?
Works well for any indoor plants that need proper drainage. Mix half with a good potting mix and half Molly’s aroid mix. Product is worth the price. My plants are doing well.

great succulent medium, but very pricy for the quantity you get.
this is an excellent potting medium for moisture sensitive succulents like Lithops. the 'soil' retains minimal moisture making it almost impossible to over water. it's not the easiest medium to plant into where you need to make a hole and place the plant down into it, but works well for those you can add the medium around the plant. the 5qt bag came sealed and dry but it doesn't contain 5 dry quarts, i filled 20 3inch clay pots and didn't have enough to fill another one. a nice advantage is you do not need a trop dressing with this as it has enough weight to stay in the pot and not float up when bottom watering. plenty of aeration for the roots to grow and great drainage without compacting.

Molly’s Aroid Mix
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely perfect for my aroids! I’ve tried several mixes over the years, but Molly’s Aroid Mix is hands-down the best. The texture is airy yet moisture-retentive, and my plants are thriving with noticeably stronger roots and vibrant foliage. No pests, no compaction—just clean, high-quality ingredients that clearly reflect care and expertise. Shipping was fast, packaging was secure, and the seller even included helpful tips. I’ll definitely be repurchasing and recommending this mix to fellow plant lovers. A+ all around!

Perfect Soil!!
I will never use a different soil. My plants (philodendrons, monsteras) were in desperate need of new soil. I ordered this and within a week they all have been shooting off new leaves & growths. Beautiful healthy plants. Worth every penny spent on this soil.

Amazing product. I bought it when all my flowers were dead. After repotting, a few weeks later, my orchid grew some buds and one new sprig. Very happy with the purchase

Update : I really like this soil mix and my monsteras seem to like it too. I repotted 3 of my monsteras in that soil and they are now growing a lot of roots. No leaf yelloying. I first thought it was a very small bag for the price but the company offered me a refound, wich I did not accept because it's still a very good mix. Great company for sure. I am only leaving one star off because of the price, but the mix is excellent, promote root growth and drain well. hope it's good because that is a relly small bag for that price!

This is the first time I have repotted an orchid and only the second orchid I have ever had. Needed a taller pot to prevent tipping. This was a really nice mix compared to others I look at.
