Best second skin IMO
Used for 3 tattoos now. This is my favourite tattoo “second skin”! It doesn’t peel too easily (such as opsite flexifix which peels like crazy) and the biggest plus for me - NO residue glue left on new tattoo after removal! This is HUGE as dermalize has always left tons of residue, to the point I’ve had to scrub and massage my new tattoo within an inch of its life to rid of, risking infection and damaging the skin & design - dermalize may be strong and sticky but I find that comes at at too tall a price personally..Another reason this is my favourite is it feels the softest and most skin-like. It doesn’t become as uncomfortable after a few days as the others and is very easy to move around in and forget about. For example; I can’t go more than 4 days with dermalize as it starts getting very itchy and unskin-like (kinda wrinkly and wet feeling) due to showering or sweating I guess. But I can manage the 5 days in this with relative ease, it doesn’t do the wet wrinkly thing - maybe because there’s less glue? It’s also the most affordable, you get a lot for the price. I’d recommend giving it a shot.As for using this kind of product in general - I wouldn’t do it any other way. Tattoos heal extremely fast with this, don’t scab (will still get flaky after removal but very manageable and goes away quickly), and are protected from infections while you wear.My advice for application (as I’ve seen one negative review saying it wouldn’t work even after using “recommended cream”) is to clean your tattoo with antibacterial soap, AIR DRY (*no* creams/oils/salves), and then apply the film. It’s very important it’s dry, your body’s oils will keep it moisturised while you heal.

Brilliant product - it sticks regardless of conditions, very soft and good with the skin
The only bad thing I can say about this is that the instructions that come with the product are not as clear (I wish I would have watched the movie before loosing a few patches :-)) ).Also, it is worth mentioned that it would be helpful to have somebody to apply this for you, though I ended up doing it ok on my own.Otherwise this is absolutely brilliant!! I've just got a tattoo yesterday and today I had my boxing practice. It seems that the typical food sealing role type used, can't withstand the punches and hits, while this I've had it during training, a shower after and it was still sticking to the skin without any issues, protecting my freshly done tat. When removing it, it is both easy and without any pain. The packaging seems well considered to avoid bacteria and the film is extremely gentle with the skin!I think the product deserves the extra price.

It works!
I was sceptical when looking at the reviews for this item but as I was currently undergoing a full arm sleeve I thought I'd give it a try and I'm so glad I did. After having the tattoo done I was wrapped in cling film as per normal until the next morning. I washed my arm and cleaned it up and asked my other half to help me put the film on. This I think is the most important point to consider when using this that it's quite easy to do yourself on a small, flat area but any larger or wrapped areas become a great deal more difficult so another person is required to make this just as easy.It recommends leaving on for a max of 5 days but I couldn't last this long. This was down to the film allowing the tattooed area to breathe (like a medical dressing) so a smell started to be noticeable to me, others didn't notice unless I pointed it out and they smelt near the area covered with the film and then they also commented. It literally smells like sweaty feet! When on, the film looks just like your own skin or a very thin cling film pulled really tight so it allows you full flexibility and also stops the irritation of clothes rubbing. When removing the film it can't just be pulled off, it has to be done in the shower. I did this and it peeled off exactly like your normal skin would when it's sunburnt (in sheets).I was amazed when removing it that there were no scabs at all and it was as though it had accelerated the healing process, yes the skin was dry but none of the uncomfortable time when a tattoo has scabbed over which in my opinion is the worst time of the healing process. After applying moisturising cream as normal the skin was hydrated and the healing time was drastically reduced as to not using the film.To sum up I will definitely be using this film on any other tattoos i get as I feel the slightly bad smell is worth the pain saved in the long run.

Really works but patch test 1st
Works really well in healing the fresh ink, no problem with flakey skin or dry skin. Tattoo looks and feels healed in days. After 24 hrs I took off the 1st skin and my ink looked great. I replaced with a new piece and 48 hrs later took it off but found I had, had a reaction to the glue I presume. So I've had a red rectangular shape around my ink for over a week. In future I'd recommend people to patch test prior to using it on new ink. I've found a number of people online that have had the same problem but nothing is really mentioned on websites, just forums coz people need n want advice about this problem. Other than that my ink healed perfectly
