Love this game. Our family has a couple different azul games and this one is awesome for a 2 player version. It took a bit to learn, and we still haven’t figured out the best way to “win”. It’s great because the rules stay the same, but the play is slightly different each time. A game takes about 20-30 minutes which is perfect for an evening game.

We have many of the Azul games. This is one of my favorites when just playing with 2. It is fun and there are a lot of variables that make it not repetitive and not predictable. My only complaint is that they did not make the game boards and tower with better cardboard. The tiles and most of the pieces are of good quality but the boards are flimsy. The game is fun and worth playing regardless of the game boards.

I gifted Azul Duel to my boyfriend this past Christmas, and it has quickly become a favorite for our weekend game nights. We love games that offer a good mix of strategy and a little bit of luck, and this one strikes that balance really well. The play time is about 30–45 minutes, which is perfect for us because we can easily play a few rounds in an evening without getting tired of the game. It’s engaging without feeling overly long or complicated. I’ve never played the original Azul, but this duel version feels perfectly designed for two players. It’s surprisingly hard to find games that work really well with just two people, but this one delivers. There’s enough strategy and variety that it stays interesting even after multiple plays. If you’re looking for a well-designed board game specifically for two players, this is a great option!

This is a very fun game. I like that it is a two person board game, since there aren't many of those on the market. It's a bit complicated to learn but once you do it's a good time.

My husband and I are thrilled with this version! Azul: Duel keeps the aesthetic and satisfying tactile feel of the original, but adds more interaction and excitement. The gameplay is fast-paced and tense, with constant competition for the right tiles — a direct but elegant duel. It’s perfect for two-player evenings: beautiful, smart, and full of new tactical choices each time. It’s definitely a keeper in our collection. But still, Queen’s Garden remains our favorite.

Fun! I love playing traditional Azul and this Duel is just as fun as the original. Not super difficult to understand or play; as with any game, it might take a couple of tries to play it before you get the hang of it.

Really enjoy this game, lots of thinking, challenges but still fun. If you like patterns and puzzles you will enjoy!

I loved playing this on BGA. That's where it should've stayed. The components for this game are terrible. Very flimsy card stock for player mats. Game is definitely fun, but I'd suggest the BGA version.

This is a firm family favourite. The quality and workmanship of the game pieces makes this game a delight to play. We have several different versions of the Azul game, and all are worth owning and need a slightly different strategy. We needed to read the rules a few times, and watch a video to fully understand the rules, but once learned, it’s all straightforward. You won’t regret the purchase.

Azul – Der Sommerpavillon ist ein echtes Highlight unter den Strategiespielen. Die Spielmechanik ist einfach zu verstehen, aber strategisch richtig spannend. Die Spielmaterialien sind hochwertig, die Farben und Designs wunderschön, fast schon meditativ. Ideal für zwei bis vier Spieler ob mit Familie oder Freunden. Long time fan of the series, this 2 player focused edition offers some nice variance on the usual mechanics. The first round took a few reads back to the rules, but then we had it down. If you're a fan of the other games of this variety and can make use of a 2 player version, it's a good purchase
