So, decided to make a review because of the many post that are ignorant of what this is. This IS SOLID SILVER NITRATE AgNO3(s). It is a salt that is formed with nitric acid (HNO3(aq)) and silver (Ag(s)). It is a very strong oxidizer and should not be messed with unless you have knowledge of the proper use of this product! When handled accordingly, this product is very useful for chemistry use, medical use, photography or anything else that requires strong oxidation. OXIDATION means that this product can oxidize any metal (with the exception of hydrogen) on the activity series except for gold (Au) the activity series goes in this order (Li, K, Ba, Ca, Na, Mg, Al, Mn, Zn, Fe, Cd, Co, Ni, Sn, Pb, H, Cu(copper), Ag(silver), Au(gold)). Next, if you fill the bottle with water and mix it, you will not get the best concentration for the solution as the rest of the salt will remained undiluted. Think of it this way, if you put too much salt on a glass of water eventually the salt will sink to the bottom and will remain undiluted. to give you an idea, you need about 14.38 grams of water (or 14.38 mL) to dilute 1 gram of silver nitrate. This will give a solution of 0.0695 grams/Liter or 69.5 milligrams per liter.

Product exactly as described. Dissolved in distilled water, I made a 7% solution (though most people recommend 1%, I read many medical research articles using solutions up to 10%), that worked perfectly for wart removal. Two wartless thumbs up,

Perfect, small amount in glass jar. I mix a very tiny amount with water to put in my mister humidifier to keep the algae growth at bay. Works perfectly and small amount should last for years.

Was not at ALL what expected. Was in the wrong category with what I thought was the same stuff but different brand. Did what they told me to do and it did not work.

This is EXACTLY as advertised. I noticed a couple of negative reviews, and they all appear to be a failure to understand what they are ordering. This is 10g Silver Nitrate. you can do many things with it. I used it to make photographic paper. Its very fun, and I'm 100% sure its the real deal because my albumen paper turned black after treated with silver nitrate, and exposed to light exactly as it should. Thank you.
