Excellent watch. I’m very happy with my purchase.
I bought this to replace a different brand smartwatch that was a Christmas present a couple of years ago but stopped working. I’m very pleased with this watch, especially since it was £80 when I bought it, but I’d consider the current price of £100 is still very good value. I’m a large man at 6’2” and I didn’t want a large square watch that looked too large on my wrist. This watch looks classy and is a great size. On my wrist I need to use the first adjustment hole on the supplied strap so if my wrist was any thicker I’d need a replacement strap but there are quick releases so swapping the strap would be simple and easy. There are supposed to be 400 free watch faces with plenty more available to buy for a couple of quid. I chose a free face called ‘Large Numbers’ which displays a lot of information but is easy for me to read without putting my reading glasses on. If I touch parts of the screen like the weather, heart rate, steps etc. the watch takes me to a new screen with more detailed information. Battery life is good, I’ve been charging it once a week, it only takes a couple of hours to charge but the battery reduces by approximately 10% a day so usually has 30% to 40% charge remaining after a week. I’m confident the battery would usually be good for 10 days of normal use but I don’t think it would reach 2 weeks. Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase but I can’t speak about its fitness tracking as I don’t use those functions and they’d probably increase battery usage. The zepp app that you load onto your phone is good and the sleep data that I do review is excellent. Unlike my first smartwatch this watch can track your sleep at any time of the day even if you’re not sleeping at night and it’ll add on naps as well. It tracks sleep quality, rem sleep, heart rate and hypopnea.

Great watch, good battery life
Having owned Fitbit fitness trackers for over 10 years and my current Charge 5 battery starting to fail some 2 months out of warranty plus Google's strategy of moving everything to a Google watch that has a 24hr battery, I decided enough was enough and looked for alternatives.I don't need a fancy smart watch but wanted a little more than a fitness and sleep tracker. Price was important, I didn't want to pay £350 for a watch and the Amazfit Active 2 smart watch came up at a perfect price with features that sounded good so I bought one.First of all I thought Amazfit was an Amazon product and I am sure the marketing dept knew this when they thought up the name but Amazfit is nothing to do with Amazon. Amazit is owned by Zepp Health Inc although Xiaomi does have some investment in the company. Amazfit is not a small company so don't be put off by the name. What is the Active 2 smart watch like? Well the strap that came with the watch made my wrist come out in sores but apart from the Fitbit one, every silicon watch strap has done this and I do like to get the straps that have a magnetic fastener so I was always going to change it. Good news is the straps use a standard so there are multiple sellers offering them.In use the watch has a lot of options from displayng the time to step count, date, heart rate, minutes active, weather, blood oxygen value, amount of sleep, etc. The watch allows customisation of the display and there are many free watch face designs + other paid for options. There are so many options on this watch that it will take you days to work out where they all.The watch can play MP3s, be used to answer calls and can act as a payment method as long as your bank supports it.If you want an activity route tracker, the watch has GPS tracking built in, just start an activity and the watch will record where you have been, I do this to track my dog walk routes. When you end your GPS tracking the watch provides details of the journey and talks through the results.Battery life is good and I get a week of usage, a little less if I use the GPS tracking feature. To charge the watch you get a small 'puck' that connects with a USB-C interface to a charger (not supplied). The puck is magnetic and will only fit on one way. The puck is small and could easily be mislaid so I keep mine connected to a cable all the time. The Amazfit is supported by an app for your mobile, the app is called Zepp. It displays all the data the watch has recorded plus historical data like sleep patterns, heart rate average, etc. there is just so much data it would be impossible to list it all here.Would I buy one again? Absolutely.

Very good for the price
Really good smart watch for also tracking fitness. Has loads of fitness options and is very good at knowing what strength training movements I’ve been doing.Bluetooth distance isn’t great so will drop connection to my phone if I move too far away.Good watch face options and customisation options.I found the strap uncomfortable as the excess strap gets tucked under the rest of the strap, rather than having a little buckle to hold it. Easily fixed by a £5 replacement strap so not the end of the world

Punches well above it's weight!!
I’ve been using the Amazfit Active 2 daily for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely very happy with it. For the price, it offers far more than I expected and has easily replaced my previous fitness tracker.Build & Comfort:The watch looks smart and doesn’t feel cheap at all. The screen is bright and clear, even outdoors, and the watch itself is lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day and overnight without any irritation.Fitness & Health Tracking:This is where it really shines. Heart rate, steps, sleep tracking and workouts have all been consistent and easy to understand in the app. I mainly use it for gym sessions and running, and it tracks everything reliably. The amount of sports modes available is impressive, especially at this price point.Battery Life:Battery life has been excellent. I’m getting around 6–7 days with regular workouts, notifications, and sleep tracking, which is a huge plus compared to other smartwatches that need charging every day.Smart Features:Notifications come through quickly, music controls work well, and overall the watch is responsive. It’s not overloaded with unnecessary apps, which I actually prefer — it just works.Overall:This isn’t trying to be an Apple Watch, but for what it costs it’s fantastic. It looks good, tracks fitness accurately, and the battery life alone makes it worth it. If you want a reliable, good-looking smartwatch without spending a lot of money, this is an easy recommendation.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great value and no regrets.

A great, durable, comfy, featured-filled smart watch for the price
I've had this watch for a few months now, and I love it. It replaced a 3 year old Huwaei GT - a more expensive watch than the Amazfit when new, but this one is much, much better. The battery life is great - there seems to be quite a gap between charging times.I was worried about the screen being slightly raised (I can be quite clumsy and heavy-handed!) but after 4 months of constant wear with little care taken it is still pristine.Loads of apps to use and add, great notifications with addedoptions to only recieve the notifications you want. The sleep quality service seems solid and accurate, and I have grown used to the 'Readiness' score as a way of giving me a head's up on how much I should push myself each day.Unlike other smart watches I have had, this one seems to remain connected to my phone whenever in range with no need to re-sync.The voice commands are also great - especially for things like 'start a 10 minute timer'.The size of screen is perfect - not too big or chunky but definitely big enough to read. the time at any time - oh, and the Sleep setting helps with a digital clock face and silencing all notifications at night. As I said, the screen and watch body is the same as when I bought it so very great durability.A great, durable, comfy and featured-filled smart watch for the price, beating even the more expensive competitors easily.

Be Careful Which Model You Receive
**150126 Update**Like most devices that have built-in software the Amazfit Active 2 receives periodic updates that provide bug fixes and enhancements. The latest update was to provide a feature called BioCharge. It turns out that not all models are the same. My model and those manufactured prior to a specific date cannot make use of this feature. In addition it has also been revealed that this model has 32MB of in-built RAM whereas the later model has double that.As a paying customer this is not what I expect. Where is the honesty and transparency from the company? I contacted Amazfit UK via the support form on their website however, they have ignored my communication. I am aware that I am not the only customer whom Amazfit like to ignore, very poor customer service!I have therefore downgraded my review to reflect this. I will not be purchasing any further products from Amazfit. This is a shame as my original review was glowing and impressive.I have left my original review below...Inside the box is the Amazfit Active 2 Smart Watch, charging puck and instruction booklet. To charge the watch you will need to provide your own USB-C cable to connect the puck to the mains. It is magnetic and so placing the watch on top is simple. Once charged you need to download and install the Zepp app from your app store. After registering with the app you can then connect the app via mobile Bluetooth to the smart watch and you are ready to go.The Amazfit Active 2 Smart Watch is very well designed. The silicone strap is nice and soft, I am not a fan of silicone straps but this one is decent however I will be swapping it for a nylon version (20mm width). The size of the watch is smaller than many other watches but for me this is perfect as I do not like large watches and my wrists are small. I like the circular design rather than the square / rectangular style that most modern smart watches have.In terms of weight is is nice and light. There are two slim buttons on the right hand side to operate the watch and the screen is naturally touch screen. Swiping up, down, left and right will take you to various menus on the smart watch and in conjunction with the Zepp app on your mobile there are a wealth of options that enable you to tailor the watch to your desired functionality. The screen is nice and bright and on screen information is clear. There are a plethora of features including a wealth of fitness and activity trackers from the basic heart rate to an alert if you have not been standing up for a while. You can download additional apps from the Zepp app and also change the watch face. Via the Bluetooth connection you can make and receive mobile calls and if you have an Android mobile you can reply to and create text messages. There is a voice assistant built into the watch called Zepp Flow which is very good and you can ask it to make calls, create text messages, add items to your calendar and provide information on your activities amongst other things. It is very impressive. In terms of the accuracy the step count and heart measurements are good. This watch has been reviewed alot on the web and if you would like help with tips, tricks and advice on how to get the best from it then there are many sites and videos that you can watch to really get to know the watch. When I think of the price, how much tech has been squeezed into the Amazfit Active 2 Smart Watch, the software and user experience this is a very impressive, value for money smart watch.

Great entry to the smartwatch world
I've had this a week and so far I'm very impressed. I bought it principally for sleep monitoring, and it seems to report my sleep pretty accurately.I wore the watch for 3 days and nights solid and the battery was still above 70% - a far better performance than my wife's Samsung! The Stepcounter overstates by between 10-20% when compared to my (very accurate) stand alone step stepcounter.Connection to the Zepp app is simple and works well. There are lots of functions I haven't tried to use yet but will do, if only out of curiosity.I bought the used version at around 2/3 of the full price. The box had clearly been opened and resealed but the watch itself was unmarked, and all the documentation included. The only small issue was that the watch was set up in Spanish, but it was simple to change to English using Zepp.Overall I'd thoroughly recommend this watch, particularly as a cost-effective way to trial smartwatches.
