Definitely noticed a difference in my allergies shortly after starting to run it!
Quick-ish back story: I've always suffered seasonal allergies and been mildly allergic to dogs and cats. Three years ago we bought our first home and while it is in an inner-ring suburb, our home is atop a hill and surrounded by just enough nature to hide the fact that you are actually close to downtown. The previous owner had dogs, though the house didn't smell doggy nor was covered in hair, but none the less. I shampooed all the rugs when the house was empty and was pretty fine allergy-wise when we moved in. However, all the allergens in the air from nature really messed me up when we'd open the windows up, this past year in particular. I was so miserable and had FDR eyes (dark circles under my eyes) along with lots of eye boogers I'd never had. So I started vacuuming more and got a little air filter for the bedroom. Then this fall my wife started talking about getting a dog again and I'd been so miserable with allergies from the summer and fall I figured "How could hell be any worse?" and we got a beautiful Bordoodle in November. In preparation for the pup's arrival I decided to invest in a real deal air purifier. This arrived about 3 weeks before the puppy did and in that time I noticed a marked improvement in how I was feeling and my eyes and nose cleared up quite a bit. With that said: I love this thing! While I was worried about dropping so much coin for the actual machine and then the continued cost of new filters (which are about $100!) I was really hoping it would help me, and it did! Unfortunately when the machine arrived the expensive filter was all messed up! I contacted Amazon and they gave me credit to buy a new one. Just for the heck of it, I ran the machine with the less than optimal, damaged filter those first few weeks. So this thing performed in less than perfect conditions and STILL made a difference! Once our pup came home I put in the new filter and things got even better! While I am not "cured" I sure feel a lot better, better than I did BEFORE we got the machine OR a dog that I was slightly allergic to (after the first few weeks, I got used to our dog's brand of proteins that trigger my allergies and am fine around her now) I highly encourage the use of the washable pre-filters. The machine looks way nicer without them (in my wife's opinion) but they catch SO MUCH big dust that I can only imagine it keeps your super expensive filter running optimally for as long as designed. We usually change out the pre-filter every 2 weeks and are offended by how much dust it catches, but also glad it is going there as opposed to our furniture and noses. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and feel the money was wisely spent as I feel much better since introducing this machine into my already pretty clean home.

this thing is huge
I did not expect to see this huge box show up on my doorstep. be prepared to find room for this monster. Otherwise all features work as expected, lil disappointed that i cannot schedule the heat, apparently a safety feature prevents heat from being scheduled to come on or off. definite value for money, air quality is great. I will come back after a year when i have been thru few seasons with this.

Great machine and great performance with some annoying drawbacks
Likes: The design in general; While not as futuristic as D* brand, it's sleek and a lot more compact. The 3-in-1 function saves space in my tiny bedroom. Remote control works well. App is well designed and easy to setup and navigate. Moves plenty of air if you can handle the loud fan at highest setting. Seeing PM2.5 dropping in real time is fun (and healthier, of course.) Color status for air quality/heating it easy to notice at a glance and is elegant. Somewhere in the middle: Touch control panel on the unit is not very responsive. Most of the time I can't lightly tap. I'd have to press my fingertip fully. Lowest fan setting is too low and barely moves air. Highest fan setting is LOUD. Heating function only adjustable on the unit itself. While you can use remote to turn on and off, the only way to change the temp is through the touch control panel. Dislikes: Disappointingly can't use heater function through the app since I'd like it to turn on automatically when the temp hits a certain level. Rattles and creaks lightly when oscillating which is slightly annoying to me.

Quiet and works as described
Fan is relatively quiet and lower speeds and heating element is quickly ramps with warm air. 90 to 180 degree oscillation is a nice option. Phone app is easy to use and connecting BLUE AIR to home WIFI was fast with no issues. This device seems well built and is a nice upgrade to my Dyson hot+ cool Gen 1 HP 10 purifier, which after 7 years of good service now has fan motor issues and the heating option triggers an error code shutting down the device.

This was a gift to me paid for by my mother. Pros: -Works well to reduce cooking smells in my small apartment. I have to leave it on for an hour or so after I finish cooking but I don't mind doing that. -Reasonably quiet. Settings one and two are quiet enough for me to tine out while setting three is quite loud but I use it while cooking and so the noise doesn't really bother me Cons: -Bulky and difficult to move around. I don't use this air purifier all the time and I keep it in a spare bedroom when not using it. It's difficult to grip anywhere and even when the top part is "locked" it can still topple off quite easily. -Replacement filters are very expensive I would never have bought this for myself because in my opinion it's too expensive for what it does, but it works well for what I use it for and I was happy to receive it as a gift.

The remote is not responsive, it takes 2-3 presses to get it to respond. It also turns off spontaneously. I think for over heating after 15 minutes at 68F Also, they want me to pay for returns. ??? They will grant me $4 after the receive it to cover shipping. It's a big heavy box, at least 25$ to ship. What gives?

I've had this product for about two weeks and it works very well at capturing a good amount of the hair shed by the perp. pictured above. I got a size larger than is recommended for my small apartment but the cat hair was driving me crazy so I thought I'd try it. I covered it with the grey cover and sure enough as it sucked in the air to clean it, it sucked in cat hair as well which stuck to the grey cover. Attached is what it looked like after returning from a long weekend. I then wipe it off with a damp cloth or, better still, run a lint roller over it so it can start again. I have no idea if it does the other stuff, like cleaning chemicals etc out of the air, and It certainly doesn't get rid of all the cat hair but it helps significantly. When it is on low, which I use during the day, you can't hear it at all. When it is on high, it sounds like your oven fan when it's on low. I'm glad I bought it.

I had my doubts if this would have strong results. I know there are more expensive filters out there and I need it for a 650 square foot space which is at the space max. I decided to buy an air quality monitor together with this purifier to make sure that is really works. And holy moly! First, you can really feel the difference but that being said, what if it was just our minds playing tricks on us. But the AQ monitor doesn't lie. The air coming out of the machine has a 0 particle measurement. Even the far corners of the room have a 4 or 8 measurement. To keep it in perspective, anything under 50 is good and outside in Toronto it was 65. And although the purifier is big, it is pretty stylish so it looks great. Quiet too. I did a lot of research and this model is much quieter than comparables. I should have bought this a long long time ago. Go for it.

While the product is an excellent purchase, I have had difficulties obtaining two items (cloth filters) which were not found in the box. I am somewhat disappointed with the outcome. John.
