For my unit its 9V 2Amp DC. There is typically a heat sink and fan used to dissipate the heat generated by the device. It's a solid state cooling/heating device so the only "motors" involved are typically a motorized fan to assist with heat dissipation. You can momentarily connect the device to power for a couple of seconds to ensure you identify the hot side from the cool side which you need to do to ensure you have the device positioned correctly. **Q: how this is this?** A: This device is a Peltier device, that basically replaces broken coolers and other devices that use Peltier devices for cooling purposes.
