As renters (who used to be homeowners), we noticed the drain of the kitchen in the house we are renting was emitting an unpleasant smell-- not like sewage, but something like old food-laden dish water. None of the solutions we tried worked, and meanwhile the kitchen was starting to smell pretty embarrassing, despite the sink draining normally. After doing some homework, we decided to try this enzyme cleaner. A scoop wasn't included in the bottle but we googled this, and found 1 scoop is approx 5 teaspoons, so we mixed 5 teaspoons into 2 cups of warm water to follow the instructions. After 3 nights of this treatment, the drain issue is solved. It seems to have improved the outcome of dishwasher use too, even though we didn't directly treat the dishwasher (the dishwasher drains into the same pipe as the kitchen drain). We'll do maintenance treatments as recommended. Just relieved this odor issue is resolved.

It did not kill drain flies like I expected,but maybe the drain is clean.

My plumber recommended this product years ago and I use it every month in all my drains. Works great. The box stores only carry the liquid kind so I purchase this on Amazon.

I wish there were more stars for me to click on because this product deserves 12 Stars absolutely phenomenal you do it exactly like they tell you three nights in a row it's so simple have a little jar available fill up 16 and 16 16 oz one scoop makes it really really well run your water onto your sink hot water for maybe a minute throw the little the little water container of 16 oz that has hot water in it that you shook with the product inside one scoop and throw it in the sink and go to bed I will buy it again I will buy three of them and put them away so I will always have them on hand this is a fantastic product and it's all natural

insructions says 1 scoop per 16 oz. OK how big is a scoop? entire container is 18 oz. diveded by 28 [number of uses] that equals .642 oz. I don't have a small scale. how about making 28 equal piles on the table. OR how about a scoop shipped in container? OR how many table spoons. OR ml. Or mabye an old coffee scoop like I am going to try[1/8 cup].Zep customer service number on container does not seem to work. If this is same as old enzym powder it works great for natural oils like olive,cooking and soap.

It really works but it takes weeks or months to see results. It actually caused more clogs in the beginning because it was breaking down fat bergs that were rock solid from decades of buildup, so I had to snake them out of the sewer trap to unclog the system again. The best way I can describe it is the enzymes causes the fatbergs to “cave in” and this can cause a clog. These fatbergs are so hard, drain cleaners likely won’t work, you’ll probably need a snake. After a few more times of snaking the clogs from the enzyme breaking down the fat bergs, the pipes are running smoother than ever. I strongly recommend you prepare yourself to snake if your pipes are over 50 years old, because this enzyme will definitely break down the fat buildup which can result in more clogs in the first few months.

I honestly have no idea if it works. It arrived with the lid popped off and the contents spilled all over the contents of the box. I had also ordered a dress at the same time and Its package wasn't closed so the enzymes completely filled the package with the dress. Someone else had mentioned this and I thought, must have been a fluke. NOPE, the lid pops off in transit even though it is threaded. So the manufacturer needs to hand tighten and/or tape the lid after the assembly line; ultimately bag it but there is already too much plastic! I didn't ask for a replacement, I'm still finding the powder all over my office.

No amount of cleaners or bleach could get rid of the smell coming from our bathroom drain. Couple doses of this stuff and it’s good as new. Highly recommended!
