I used the costume size guide and purchased a size small. The costume fits perfectly. The Velcro closure on the back of the costume body suit is durable and stays closed very well. The material of the costume and all accessories is not your average big box store inexpensive material, instead the weight of the material is heavy and it will last through the everyday wear and tear my four year old grandson. A really nice feature of this costume is at the bottom of the legs on the bodysuit there are shoe covers. You know how with costumes you’re always looking for the right shoes or boots, etc? Not with this costume! My grandson will put this costume through A LOT as he acts out scenes from Sharkboy and Lavagirl daily! I highly recommend purchasing this costume.
