In June 2011 our friends opened an organic produce stand in Far Rockaway Beach and couldn’t find a naturally-flavored salt water taffy -- a taffy without artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors. Marisa Wu jumped at the chance to put her own spin on the chewy nostalgic sweet! She wanted to reimagine salt water taffy so she used natural ingredients like real vanilla beans, fruit purees, spices, and large-grain sea salt. It was love at first pull! The candy came out true to flavor and creamy like a milkshake, with a distinct salt crystal crunch. This was not your average salt water taffy!
