Big book with hardcover. Nice addition to the collection. Matty isn’t for everyone, but he’s for me, I like his style of cooking and storytelling and jokes and shenanigans.

The media could not be loaded. Package arrived on time. It was handled and packaged properly.When I opened this box, I was immediately transported to Matty Matheson’s home. He invites you to see a sliver of what his life is like and how he found his love of cooking. As well as creating food around the people he loves most.The book itself is sturdy and larger than I anticipated. Hardcover is nice and smooth while the pages are thick & slick 😜The recipes are easy to follow and the stories will add all the salty tears you need for your dish 🥹He is a wonderful writer and an even better chef. I can’t wait to try it out this weekend! Already started trying his other cookbook 😁

Love his writing and so many recipes included! The pictures are beautiful and always nice to have a visual reference.

Not a book full of simple recipes, a lot of these are quite extensive

I am an avid cookbook collector and read them like an actual book. I am not through reading this charming cookbook yet, but wanted to hurry up and write an actual review, which I don't do very often. Upon receipt of this book you will notice how heavy and for the lack of a better word, beefy it is. Mr. Matheson has a great narrative in which he describes his life in his colorful vernacular. If you've ever seen him on Viceland, his writing is a direct reflection of him as a host as well. I'd like to compliment him on a job well done, the pages of this cookbook are thick, and the quality of the book you can feel in its pages. I LOVE the wide margins (I often take notes in my cookbooks), the photos are beautiful and enhance this book in every way possible. I have yet to try any of his recipes at this time but the read has been fun, I may come back and do a follow up a review when the time comes.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my fiance, since we both watch Bon Appetit on Youtube. We love watching Brad Leon, and several times he has had this author on with him. They work so well together and just crack us up! Once I found out he had a cookbook I knew I had to get it. It is filled with stories, and recipes from his life. All of which are very enjoyable to read about. It's a no BS kind of writing style, with pictures and delicious recipes. The book itself is very sturdy, hard back cover. Easy clean up if you spill something on it (we use it in the kitchen, obviously it's going to get a bit messy). I'm glad I purchased this to add to our growing collection of cookbooks. He is a fun author with some amazing recipes, so check it out!
