One of the spokes became detached from its thin plastic mooring pretty early but it still works. I would not take it out into a good strong wind though. It is not the most fragile umbrella I have used but it does not have the feel of one that should be subjected to a string blow. Overall a fairly good product. It is affordable, the opening/closing mechanism works well, it snaps into place easily and fits neatly into one of the pockets of my sleek all black Amazon Basic backpack.
