It's slow to write to
It's fine, but writing to this thing takes forever.

Compact and value for money
Great product. Does what it says on the tin. Using it for mass TV storage of DVD backups.

Ideal for backups
Ok, i was getting to the point of buying a larger hard disk or delete all my pictures and music... so I got this stick instead. Loads of space , plug in , copy, remove, easy. Ok there might be faster sticks on a technical level but would I notice... would I care... not really . This does what I need and I’m happy

Meh
Bought 2 of these first one I got stopped working after less then a week meaning all my work is stuck on the flash drive and can not be erased. Amazon were really helpful and instead of me sending it back with my data trapped inside just sent me out a replacement. I have not used this replacement yet at a but sceptical in using. But will do as a back up if I dont have another flash drive to hand

One of the best cheap USB sticks on Amazon (IMO)
What can I say: it's a USB stick/flash drive and it works brilliantly. It may not be as fast as the current standard USB 3.1, but it's fast enough for what I needed it for. I used five of these USB sticks and three of these (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B014VM3F18/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_10) to store old versions of Windows (2.03 through XP) so I haven't used them very much but from what I can tell they are of very good quality. They are push-up style so they don't come with any dust protection, only damage protection. Also, they tend to jolt around when moving the head of the USB in and out of its casing so I sometimes get a little worried I'll break it. Anyway, this USB stick holds up to 8GB of data although, like almost all USBs, this one holds a little less than that at around (if I remember correctly) 7.8 or 7.9 gigabytes so you still get about 8 but, if you need exactly 8, try a 16GB one instead; They're not much more expensive in the modern market.Overall, I really like this memory stick. It's very cheap for 8 gigabytes and perfect for all uses, be that storing photos, homework or eight Windows operating systems from 1987 to 2001.

Unreliable
First glance it looks ok, retractable cover, thumb indentation. On a closer look the retractable cover feels cheep and requires a little force to get past the catches, but could easily force it too much, also when covered it only protects the side, the actual USB slot is still exposed. When inserting into a device you notice the thumb indentation is very small and the retractable cover ends up coming down to your thumb and it doesn't feel good, while the USB, being made of cheap plastic has no actual grip and feels like it will slip out of you fingers.Plugging it in for the first time, I struggled to have it even be registered. It was only after trying it in another machine that I noticed I had to insert it in further that you would think, which was made harder than it needed to be because of the retractable cover. Since that first use I now have the issue of my laptop recognising there is a USB plugged in, but it having no actual drive on it, which means that I don't have access to anything on it. A restart of the machine worked the first time this occurred but it since does not work. There are other workarounds to be found on the internet but realistically you should not need to go into that much trouble.Sorely disappointed, even if it was cheap.

not that fast
This drive is far from the fastest USB 3 drives, and can disconnect when you try to transfer large files to it.
