Dunlop Gardening Shoe, Clog, Goloshes. Waterproof.

Excellent product unfortunately I couldn't get used to wearing them.

I echo what so many other people have said. The fit is wide but not as quite as wide as the wellingtons, but takes my EE width feet and socks easily. They are not slip on unless you put a finger in the heel, but if they were open at the back they would not be waterproof. The rim might dig into someone with puffy ankles if they walked long distances quickly, but for pottering about or short walks, it should not be uncomfortable. The size 7 came up as a continental 41 so no need for anyone to buy a size larger than they usually wear. They seem perfect for short walks in rainy weather, to avoid getting wet feet in ordinary shoes.

I bought these to replace a similar pair which had lasted several years. I did find they were a very "generous" fit, and probably could have had a size less, but made insoles cut from a bit of cushiony floor lino, to be also waterproof. They then fitted perfectly! I find them very useful in the garden, and also for walking. Very comfortable! The only problem I found after about a year, even though carefully using a shoe horn, a split started down each heel (same with the last pair). However, I found that if you don't let the slit get more than 1/4 inch or so, and then cut away round the back of the heel below the split, with sharp scissors, thereby lowering the heel by about 1/2inch, they never start to split again. Just make quite sure you have not left the tiniest bit of splitting, as it will then just carry on! Doing this doesn't seem to affect the comfort, and they still stay on ok. Obviously you have to smoothly cut round from the heel back up to meet the sides, so as not to cause rubbing. There. Problem sorted, and actually easier to get on and off. They are still fine a year after doing this.

Bought these for gardening and very impressed. Tread is good good grip in wet weather. Totally waterproof and heavy to wear.

I looked at the reviews for these and similar shoes and ordered these with slight trepidation as I had not purchased shoes online before and often have difficulty finding shoes that fit as I have wide feet. However, I need not have worried as these shoes fit well and are comfortable. They will be frequently be used for gardening (I've previously worn old trainers or wellies for gardening) and brief trips outside to the bins or garage. The shoes appear robust and are easy to put on and take off.

I recently bought these to replace a pair which had finally split after years of service. They appear to be well made but only time will tell how well they last. However, there is a problem with the sizing as they are distinctly tighter than my old pair and I can only just fit into them. They are labelled as UK 10 and Euro 44 whilst my old pair were labelled UK 10 and Euro 45 so they are distinctly shorter than the pair they replaced (and the other size 10 shoes I have compared them to.) I think that they are actually UK 9½ size and buyers need to consider getting a larger size than they would normally use.

Bought as a present for my grandfather, for pottering around his garden so can't give a practical review. I can however say they're very good quality, as usual with Dunlop waterproofs, and as I'm a size 9 myself they fit lovely, tight enough to feel snug and secure but not too tight so to feel uncomfortable. I'd definitely buy these for myself and I don't think you can get a higher recommendation than wanting to keep a present for yourself. The price is stupidly low as well, I've seen similar shoes to this going for £40 and upwards in fishing shops, same brand as well. Great value.

Ok, firstly without doubt, I will buy another pair of these when the ones I have finally give up the ghost. So, why the 4 stars I hear you ask? Well the two issues I have with these are linked. The first is they are very tight, not to wear, but to actually slip on (we all like to be able to quickly slip garden shoes on and off don’t we?), they are in fact so tight to put on, I had to buy a shoe horn! The second point is that they don’t hold the mud in the grooves, so if you need to quickly pop indoors to grab that something you always forget, the mud almost immediately comes off ... why don’t I just take them off? See the first issue! On a plus side, they are very comfortable and the snugness does mean I don’t end with as much grass and bits on my garden socks as did. You can wear them for long periods and hardly notice them. So yes, I would buy them again, but I thought it would be useful to be honest to potential purchasers about the bits I find a tad irritating,
