Hugely impressed!
I am so impressed by this product! I purchased due to selling my own handmade cards but needing something to speed up the process and this is exactly what I needed! The main time consuming part of the card-making process I was finding was the scoring of the cards, but this product is amazing for that! I have shown in the images the results you get from scoring, the look is so professional and keeps the cards in good condition once folded. I have used the blade a couple of times but I already have a guillotine so mainly wanted this for scoring! I did notice when I used the blade it left a slight edge on the card - not hugely bad but I just prefer the edge left from the guillotine. The size is also great as it folds back into this neat shape making it easy to store away! Overall I am so pleased with this purchase, it's already saving me so much time and has exceeded my expectations!

A decent combo board - several big advantages and a few minor niggles.
A rather expensive but attractive-looking board (cream). with several big advantages and a few minor niggles. A much-used tool, probably used in every craft project.Big pros:A. Designed for economical use: it's both a score-board and a trimming board.B. Economical size-wise as it has an arm that folds out - that's great as my crafting area's small. It's a good compromise between a Mini and a Full-size Non-folding one (I've tried both). I rarely get out my full-size trimmer now.C. The measurements are easy to read, as they have the good contrast of being black on cream.D. Has inches and centimetres. Plus some lines / grid lines.E. Fine with cardstock up to 300gsm, which I use a lot of. Struggles above that, needs several trim passes and working the almost-cut with fingers afterwards to finish off the "cut".F. Feels robust. Not as robust as a metal board of course.A few niggles but not deal-breakers:1. When it was new I had to put a sticky label on it reminding me that "Score = Black".2. Sometimes, on mine anyway, the Scorer escapes and I have to search and pick it up off the floor. I suspect its manufactured tolerance is a tiny tad out. It also doesn't stay put, so whenever I move the board, the Scorer moves, often travelling the full distance across the board. I'd remove it until needed if I wasn't afraid I'd lose it.3. Sometimes I find it hard to see where the cut would be and/or I find lining up close-up work tricky. To cope, I need to make any pencil marks more conspicuous (but thus they don't always fully erase afterwards) and I run a finger along the cutting groove if I need to see the groove. This might just be me, as I have deteriorating eyesight.4. You can buy replacement Scorer and Trimmer blades.Personally I find the finger-guard rather a nuisance - it's wide, impedes my view of the cutting groove for close-up detailed work, and it's so low that it stops me cutting through layers. I've adjusted how I work so that I don't need to cut through layers but occasionally I want to make fine adjustments or correct an error. If only I'd kept my guillotine-chopper from days of yore when you could buy them with removeable guards. It comes covered in protective film to be peeled off before use. Mentioned as I didn't notice it for 2 months. Having it still on hadn't impeded full use of the board.A Mark 2 version could do with having symbols hot-printed into the ruler to mark commonly-used measurements e.g. scoring/trimming A4 card in half to make A5, 4 card in three to make DL size (to make gatefold greeting cards or the currently on-trend 'slimline' cards).

Great tool
Thanks to those who answered my question. I finally used it at the weekend. What a handy little gadget.Ive been measuring, cutting and folding by hand for years and so wish I’d got this sooner. Easy to use and accurate.Opening the cover and the ruler extension is slightly stiff, but I have nothing to compare it with.Measurements everywhere saves manual measuring first and cut/fold seem clean and accurate. Would defo recommend.

Value for money
Very affordable paper trimmer. Both the blade and score tool work well for my purposes. It cuts through 3 sheets (100gsm) okay, but I find the score tool can only do 2 sheets at a time (and even then you have slide the tool up and down a few times). There are probably better trimmers out there but for the price I can't really complain. It does the job and takes up very little space.

Such a disappointment
It looks very nice and I was so pleased to, at last, have something that would both cut and score. The measuring arm is easy to use and clearly marked.I'm thrilled with the scoring blade and it works very well. However, the cutting blade, although quite sharp, leaves a really bad edge. You are left with an edge that is "turned up" . It looks very bad - it would spoil any card.I'm so terribly disappointed.

Likadan som Stampin up trimmer.
