We needed a decent quantity of salt for several purposes. One was for salting our driveway to try and prevent weeds, slugs and other annoyances. This bag was perfect as the large quantity and small grain size meant we could make up a big spray bottle container with salt water/vinegar solution and let rip. Some folks will say not to use on monoblock, brick or other paved driveways in case of damage to the stones or slabs. We have a couple of lines of slabs with chuckies in between so were not too fussed. It's also food grade, so, as a bonus we probably don't need to buy salt for the next 10 years! I would recommend getting a big container and decanting it as the bag is good quality plastic but not resealable.

Bought this to kill weeds between pavers and patio slabs. I mixed it with 20% White Vinegar and it killed them all and they haven't grown back in a month yet. Vinegar was expensive so next time I'm going to try just salt & water, 3 to 1 mix to see if that works as well.

Bought this product for curing meats and fish (maybe some other things too). It arrived a day early, which was a great suprise with it being just before Christmas. Pours very smoothly and feels fine to the touch. As the bag is not resealable I have decanted the salt into two large ice cream tubs (picked up free from an ice cream shop). The lids are a tight fit so will keep the salt dry. Will also make it easier when measuring out salt for a cure or brine.

Slightly finer but purer than traditional table salt, also in this quantity it is a cost effective purchase for all my cooking needs. For storage I transferred the contents of the bag into 2 large sealed 4 litre glass jars. The remainder I have used in my previous salt container. For separate storage you will need to reserve approximately 9 litres. The salt itself is finely ground and flows freely without clumping. Given there are no additives such as anti-caking agents it is worthwhile ensuring the salt is sealed when in storage. I use this for cooking and as a table salt. The flavour is salty as expected and the quantity ensures I will not be running out of salt for a very long time! Overall a great product.

good price for big bag

Used to soak an infected ingrown toenail, did the trick and we were able to sort the nail without surgical intervention so that's good. Now have spare for the winter or something
