We get a lot of fruit flies and the occasional mosquito or house fly, especially in the warmer months, and this thing handles them perfectly without any mess or hassle. Setup is ridiculously easy — just plug it in, insert one of the glue trap pads, and choose your run time (3, 8, or 12 hours, or continuous). The UV light attracts the insects, and the quiet fan gently pulls them inside onto the sticky pad. No loud zapping noises like traditional bug zappers — it's whisper-quiet, so it doesn't disturb sleep or conversations. In just a day or two, I noticed a huge drop in flying pests. The traps fill up nicely (sometimes with dozens of bugs!), and replacing the pads is simple and clean. It's completely non-toxic, odor-free, and safe around pets, which is a big plus for us. This is way more effective and pleasant to use than sprays or vinegar traps. Great value, especially with the starter kit including multiple refills. I’m in San Antonio and for some reason we have an over abundance of mosquitoes near my home although there are no large bodies of water or standing water. I was constantly getting bitten while even in the house. I plugged in one of these and placed near my living room. I didn’t check it for a week but kept it on continuously, but after 7 days I checked it and was astonished at how many mosquitoes/gnats/fruit flies it captured. I was so happy that I bought 2 more for upstairs and for my bedroom. I am super-impressed with the price and effectiveness of this Stem brand and highly recommend!

The reviews are accurate in describing the weak suction power of this fan. The two modes seem to produce the same amount of suction. However, I tested both modes by placing a paper towel against the fan to determine which one had stronger suction. Surprisingly, both modes only managed to suction the towel just barely. I even caught a fruit fly resting on top of the fan’s suction and it didn’t do its job. The fan’s suction power is quite disappointing. The only positive aspect of this product is its size. I appreciate that it’s not too bulky, but now it’s just a waste of space because it’s incredibly weak. I doubt I’ll use it anymore because it’s just another place for fruit flies to chill. Works, but it would suck more fruit flies, if the fan was stronger.... Not silent, makes a buzzing and ticking noise

Bought this because I was getting eaten by a mosquito in my apartment. Didn't catch anything except a tiny fruit fly on day 1, but on day 2 I was pleased to see that stupid mosquito stuck to the glue. It works! Did exactly the job I bought it for.

Item does trap small fruit flies and little bugs. Unfortunately it does not trap house flies as stated. I saw two previous reviews of 1 it does trap big house flies and the other stating it doesn't. I have had this for a week and very disappointed 😞 that it doesn't as is what I really need this for.

mixed reviews didn’t stop me from buying this. i was desperate as someone who’s allergic to mosquitos. i turned this on the second fan setting and placed it next to my side of the bed, we caught 16 mosquitos in one night (texas)!!!!!!!! i probably didn’t have to change the disc as it was still plenty sticky but i wanted a fresh one to see how many we’ll get today. this thing is amazing, its very quiet and it actually WORKS. i saw plenty of people saying it worked fine for small bugs but not so much for mosquitos, but just ignore that. SIXTEEN mosquitos is enough for me to say this thing just paid for itself.

This little trap is surprisingly effective at catching fruit flies and gnats around the kitchen without using harsh chemicals. The fan runs quietly in the background, and the blue UV light doubles as a handy, soft nightlight for the counter. It hides the trapped bugs well from the front, though you'll definitely want to remember to check the sticky pad weekly.
