Versatile - SUPER PAN!
Heritage Steel titanium 6QT Roundeau Sautee is so versatile, this pan does it all. First, this was a serious purchase for me, I had to save up to buy this piece, at $250 it was expensive for one pan, but I was tired of just using crap. I have a gas stove and oven, but also use an induction cooktop on occasion when I need exact temperatures. This pan does both gas and induction very well. Compared 3 tri-ply / 5 ply brands such as Viking - All-Clad, Hestan NanoBond, and Demeyere. All quality but none offered this size. While I'd love to have a complete set of any one of them, I am not going to spend that kind of money or kitchen storage space just to cook for 1 person. I need quality AND versatility. This is the pan I pull out to do almost all my cooking with. Heritage Steel was the winner for several reasons: Made right here in the U.S.A. My dollars made it to families in Tennessee, which matters. Over the last 5 months...it just kicks ass. I have: Baked, Braised, Basted, Boiled, Steamed, Deep Fried, Fried, Seared and Sautรฉed, Bone broth, Soups, Reduced sauces, and on and on. It goes from stovetop to oven... Admittedly I've even managed to boil dry and burn some starchy potato water to the point the entire interior looked like a black hole, but, it came spotlessly c l e a n ... Put a cape on this thing... it's SUPER PAN! Quality and durability โ I like the weight, it feels as sturdy as it is made to be. The rolled edges allow me to pour without making a mess down the side. The lid fits well. Itโs made with titanium so I donโt have to worry about hours of simmering acidic tomato-based dishes, or adding salt to boiling water.. it hasnโt discolored or affected the surface one iota. Handles are ergonomic, nicely rounded, and balanced. Theyโre easy for me to hang onto either bare-handed or with an oven mitt. Also, I didn't want a pan with a skillet handle on one side and a loop handle on the other. This pan has 2 matching handles so I know I'll never have a height issue fitting between oven racks or my oven. A big reason I upgraded * Broiler AND 800ยฐ oven Safe. Iโm able to sear a pot roast or a steak on the stovetop and it goes directly into the oven in this same pan! None of my other cookware is capable of doing this. Why tri-ply? As a boomer - I've used a lot of different types of cookware: Revere Ware Stainless Steel cookware - Corning Visions - T-fal nonstick (ugh) - more recently Duxtop Professional Stainless Steel bonded base cookware (has a thick metal disc on the bottom that generates and holds most all of the heat) is great for slow cooking and not burning things. The huge downside to "bonded base" type pans is that they take a ridiculously long time (32 mins) to bring water to a boil because they're used with โmedium heat onlyโ and just the bottom gets hot - VS - tri ply which heats the bottom and the sides too. This pot is much faster! Clean up โฆ I don't mind that it's not nonstick. I don't have a dishwasher (on purpose), so I soak it in very hot water, that's my secret super weapon. Immediately after use, I pour hot water in it, allow it to soak a little then use a melamine sponge (magic eraser for example) to get any bits off or Barkeepers Friend. Viola! Itโs as beautiful as the 1st day it arrived. I bought the Heritage Steel 6 qt Roundeau Sautee titanium and a matching 10โ titanium skillet. Frankly, almost all my cooking is in this pan, I rarely use the skillet. I am very happy with it, thereโs no downside, it cooks well, cleans well, and is well made.. and itโs made in the U.S.A!

Great size for pasta, rice, beans, etc.
This was the size that we were missing in our collection. Food items listed in the title and every day cooking the 8 quart too big sometimes, 4 quart too small. We have them all now for any cooking need! Hi quality pots and pans! Love! Love! Food tastes fresh and easy to clean. Trick is to warm up the cookware on low heat. They still get hot fast and conduct heat across the surface. Then do the water test with a few drops. If they dance around in little beads then the pan is hot. Next the oil but only a little bit goes a long ways. Oil starts to shimmer, not smoke, and you are ready! Cook on medium low and perfect everytime. Boiling water just as you would any other pot. The pots/pans also hold their heat, so great for serving! Best set of cookware we have owned and with the confidence that the material of the pots/pans is not bleading into our food! Looking at you Dupont! โ ๏ธ

6 qt Rondea
Fantastic when used properly the natural release method it has been the best pot I've ever used. I think the titanium cook better a little more non sticking then the non titanium at least vs my All-clad Frying vs heritage steel 316Ti stainless steel.

Heritage Steel 4 Quart Sautรฉ Pan with Lid - Great pan, but...
This is a beautiful pan and very heavy, so be prepared. Also, these are 5 ply not 7 as advertised here. Just go to Google and check the Heritage Steel website. Looks like they only make 5 ply. I got mine for less than half price from Amazon sold as "used in like new condition," so I was expecting some damage, but there was none. It did in fact look brand new, and it was in perfect condition. On close examination, I found plenty of polishing compound residue. It looks like this pan might have missed final inspection. To be fair, though, an enclosed notice mentions the possibility of residue and gives instructions for cleaning in hot soapy water and vinegar, which I eventually did. But first, I used paper towels to rub off the polishing compound which is waxy and would probably resist water. The handles are beautiful and very comfortable, and the pan is a pleasure to use. Everything else is exactly as advertised.

Perfect Size, Need Better Quality Control
Been looking forever for a large saute pot with high walls without the long handle. The 6 quart rondeau is awesome from that perspective. Wish the pan diameter is even larger at 12". (Current dimensions are 11" cooking surface diameter with a height around 4.25".) That would be perfect! for context, I cook a lot of vegetables that wilts in the pot. A giant pot of spinach often gets reduced to a single serving. The rondeau has the size and height to help manage large volume of veggies at it's raw state. This rondeau is beautiful, nice finish and the right weight for that premium product feel. Unfortunately, when I unboxed the product, there were a couple of noticable scratches inside. See pictures above. As others have mentioned, they really need to step up their quality control. For a $240 product, this should not have passed their QA. Sure, it's a pot and it will get scratched. But in this premium cookware category, this is unacceptable. Submitted an exchange for the product, hope the exchange has no flaws.

Great pot and very versatile.
I love this pot. I was trying to purge my house of Teflon and consolidate the number of different types of cooking vessels crowding my cabinets. I debated between this and an enamel coated dutch oven, but my other enamelware always chipped so I went for the stainless. The pot is really well made and I love that is has titanium in the stainless. The size makes it really useful for many purposes. I had hoped it could also replace my teflon sauteuse, but I found I still needed something larger and flatter. Still, this works for chili, stews, curries, pasta dishes and I have yet to use it in the oven but I'm sure I will soon. It cleans as any stainless, which is to say if you want it shiny, using a bit if barkeeper's friend is the way to go. Let's face it, nothing cleans as easy as teflon, but at least this pot isn't killing me and I won't have to replace it in 2 years because it's flaking into my food. It's a quality item that I won't have to replace in my lifetime.

rivets are not flush
I really liked the look of this. I have a 2qt one and it is easy to clean and heats up fast. The first thing I did with this one was check the rivets. I always do on any pan I get that has them. I can slide my fingernails under them. I figured if my fingernails can get under them, so can food. I decided I don't want to have to try and clean that. And thought about the possibility of it leaking there. I returned the pan.

Beautiful 4 qt saute pan, even quick heating, pretty light for size and performance.
We just got this and haven't used it hard yet, but for the first few dishes we made it performed flawlessly. Light enough to handle by just the long handle, heats at least as even as our thick cast iron pans, was quite non-stick first try, browns evenly and well, corner radii fit our utensils well, etc. The performance isn't all - the fit and finish and overall look are just great. Perfect for rissotto. I will use this premium pan a lot!
