7 Ply T304 17 pc Stainless Steel Cookware Set

My wife and I have owned Towncraft and Kitchen Craft Waaterless Cookware made by West Bend for a number of years.. Both are high quality products, both made in the USA. Our Towncraft is more than 40 years old. Recently, we bought an induction type cooktop. We thought our cookware would work because it was all magnetic. After I installed the cooktop, I quickly discovered the older Towncraft products would not work. The Kitchen Craft pots worked fine. I first thought I would buy more Kitchen Craft cookware, but quickly changed my mind when I saw the price. I spent days looking, found lots of products, many reasonably priced but none of them seemed to measure up to the two West Bend brands, that is until I discovered Vapo Seal. Yes, it's made in China and yes I would have preferred to have bought "Made in the USA", but not at 7 times the price. That's right, the USA products were nearly 7 times the price of Vapo Seal for the same number of pieces. I would have paid twice as much, but not this absurd amount. I placed an order for the Vapo Seal 17 piece set, which almost replaced exactly the pieces of Towncraft that would not work on induction. I called Vapo Seal and talked to Suzanne. She was so nice, telling me she would gladly give me a refund if not completely satisfied. She said the order was being shipped that same day. That was on a Thursday. My package arrived two days later, Saturday morning. I opened the box and immediately tested every piece by putting around 3 cups of cold water in each pot and pan. In every case, the water boiled in less than 1 minute. This cookware is every bit as heavy duty as the West Bend products and looks very similar. I posted a picture on my FB page and many people commented that it looks very much like Towncraft. That's exactly what I was looking for. We were already experienced with using waterless cookware, so we know all about stack cooking and cooking at much lower heat. With induction cooking, the heat settings will be even less. In the end, this should save a significant amount on power consumption. As to the cleaning comments I've read in other reviews, let me say this. Turn down the heat. You're most likely accustomed to cooking on high or at least between medium and high. That's not necessary. To keep your stainless cookware looking brand new, make sure to wipe the surface with a clean dry dish towel after washing. Don't let water air dry on the stainless. It'll likely water spot. Over time, these spots can become very hard to remove. Get you a can or bottle of Bar Keepers Friend. It's great for keeping the insides looking brand new. You can also use it on the outside, but this should not be necessary if you just keep the surface wiped dry after cleaning. Suzanne, we will not be returning a single piece for a refund. We are very pleased.

This product does not say where it is made. This is important today since there are some American made similar products that these are likely trying to imitate. I agree that there needs to more information about this product. Who knows where they are made and with which materials. Can these be placed inside an oven without issues like the American made products?

This was a wedding gift for my nephew. It shipped quickly and arrived on time. Packaged beautifully. The couple loved the look & appearance of quality. The wedding is a few weeks away so the pots have not been cooked in yet. The expectation is that they will be the same great quality as the set I bought for myself 28 years ago! I will be purchasing two more sets for my children upon their engagements.

We have been using these since 2012. They supposedly have a 'lifetime warranty'. I say supposedly because we've been trying to contact the seller since 2013 because the lid's top knobs started to malfunction and break and they don't respond. Our last attempt to contact them was a few days ago. They don't respond. I include a couple of photos of what our top knobs look like after all these years so you know what to expect. This company could, at least, offer replacement top knobs for sale. We are so dissapointed.

Really heavy but so far so good.

I bought this after attending a SaladMaster presentation. I like it a lot. I am not much of a cook. But I have learned how to cook better with this vapo technology to help retain the vitamins/enzymes in the vegetable. The quality of the stainless is great. The heat conduction is strong. I use an electric top and I frequently end up burning my food because I didn't realize it would heat up so quickly. I received the cookware very quickly. When I was missing one the egg poacher thing, I emailed the customer service and they got back with me that same day and sent me a new one a week later. He even called to see how I was doing and gave me tips on how to cook. It comes with a manual and that is also very helpful.

This is my second purchase of a Vapo-Seal pan set. I have a set that is 20+ years old. I love the waterless cookware. This set is for my son in college. The guys in his apartment burnt thru the bottom of a set of regular pots and pans purchased their first year together. They haven't done that with this set and they've had them 1 year.
