...I typically prefer wet dry sandpaper, but this has a place where you can't always sand conveniently. I've seen a lot of batteries die in the cold because of mediocre cleanliness on terminals. Fall NOW) is the time, clean is not good enough, they need to be shiny. Thanks Schumacher! ( I'm 67, these guys have been around since I was a kid, can't improve on great products. As a teen, seen so many elderly ladies replace batteries in winter because they did'nt get the terminals clean in the fall, h@ll it happened to me!

I like this style of brush. They clean both the battery terminals and the battery connections. The one I received was built so tight, that I had to use channel lock pliers to get the metal cap off. But overall, it’s a good tool at a good price.

If you’re the type who maintains your own vehicle then you should have one or two of these cleaners. They’re low price and they work well. When one gets too worn in a few years you will have another one to take its place. Using this will help extend your battery life.

Nice little tool when you're gonna replace or do some battery maintenance. Always good idea even with new battery to clean off battery posts and clean off connectors so everything is electrically clean to avoid connection starting/charging issues

I misplaced my previous battery terminal brush, or maybe I never got it back from my neighbor who borrowed it? Either way, it jumped on Amazon to get another one. After coming across this one, I ordered it. It works great. Nothing fancy about it. I am not an expert on battery terminal brushes. I just needed one that got the job done and this works. The wire brushes don't come off for the most part they stay straight after being used. I would consider this a good value for the money spent. If anything changes I will update my post.

Our car had some pretty bad corrosion on the battery and this worked great to scrub off the corrosion on the battery posts and on the inside of the ring terminals. It's compact, fits comfortably in your hand, simple to use, and cleans quickly (just a few turns of it on the posts) with very little effort - what more can you want?
