Bought this as it was recommend by my child’s pediatrician to help stop biting his nails/putting his fingers in his mouth and it worked! The very first day he kept putting his fingers in his mouth and got grossed out by the sour taste but was still curious about it…. After school on our way home he had a huge projectile vomit in the car 😭. Due to him sticking his fingers in his mouth and by day 3 he was hardly putting them in his mouth… I haven’t had to use it other than 3 times. And the third time was a just in case application.. the 2nd time was on day 2 because it wore of from too much washing his hands (outdoor play, school, before meals ect..)

Miracle product. Truthfully, I was really hesitant to used this item to stop my 2 year old’s thumb sucking habit (started around 4 months old). The dentist recommended trying to break the habit before my son turned 3. As he approached 2.5, I noticed he was sucking his thumb a lot more so I decided it was time to at least try to stop. I applied the polish to both thumbs before daycare drop off one morning (he only sucked one, but applied it to both just in case). Figured I would try it on a day where he had many distractions. He let me apply it with no issue. After it dried and like clock work, he put his thumb in his mouth. He instantly took it out and said “yucky”. After a few more attempted, he eventually started to stop himself before the thumb went into his mouth. It did take a bit longer for him to fall asleep at nap and bedtime that day, but it was to be expected since he had to find another to soothe himself to sleep. Amazing product. Does what it says on the tin. I’ve bitten my nails for almost thirty years. I once stopped biting them for about six months but only because they were in artificial nails always. But there’s never been a time where I’ve had them exposed and not bitten. It’s been a real battle. My nails have therefore always looked bitten, unhealthy, malnourished and quite disgusting. I could only go on dates if I had fake nails. Playing pool, typing, holding a microphone or even gesturing became quite embarrassing with these nasty nails. This one tastes so Terrible and each coat lasts for days so you only have to reapply every 3-5 days depending on how often you wash. That means even though it’s a small bottle, it will last you months. I started using this on the 23rd of September 2018 and because of how bitter it tasted, the aversion started immediately. I stopped biting immediately but would initially still try to just have the fingers around my mouth but the taste is so nasty and long lasting that i actually became used to keeping my hands away from my mouth and even hated the idea of my hands going near my face. Do keep the bottle tightly sealed and clean as mine leaked and so it’s almost empty. However, even though I only used it for six weeks, I’ve now stopped biting my nails and instead obsess about having a healthy nail care regime which consists of pushing the cuticles back, painting them and applying nail hardener. Been a lifelong nail biter. I'm worst in the car where I do it absentmindedly. Was a bit sceptical about how good this stuff would be, or how long lasting it would last, but my fears turned out to be unfounded. It is awesome, tastes disgusting, and it very hard wearing. It's almost invisible unless you're really looking close, and the few times I've forgotten about it, and started to bite a nail, I'm given a very swift reminder not to do it again. The taste is bitter, and stays in the mouth long enough for you to not want to do it again. I sit here about two weeks into using it - nails are growing back nicely, no more sore fingers - nails are actually starting to catch on surfaces if I rub my fingertips over things. Amazing. I imagine I'll keep up the treatment for another couple of weeks, then stash the little bottle somewhere, and if I start to slip back into old habits, just do some shorter treatments as necessary, but I'm hoping this will help me break the association completely. If you want to stop - couldn't recommend this stuff highly enough.

Lo utilicé con mi hija de 7 años que había empezado a morderse las uñas. Sólo se lo eché una vez porque el sabor es muy intenso y se queda durante mucho tiempo en la boca, incluso al contacto con la comida ésta ya sabe amarga. Mi hija siempre ha comido muy poco y al echarle el producto prácticamente no comía nada porque todo le sabía amargo así que no se lo volví a echar. Sí que he conseguido que no vuelva a morderse las uñas pero amenazándola con echárselo si lo vuelve a hacer, espero no tener que utilizarlo más.
