T-88 Russian English Electronic Dictionary Talking Translator.

It is easy to knit-pick any product but if you are learning a foreign language or several foreign languages (with the microSD keyboard plate feature) this little baby is perfect! If you are traveling to a country the audio quick switch from language to language and keyboard letter plate features make it usable between you and the native speaker in that country. It is compact and needs no internet connection, carry and charge anywhere with USB.

Doesn't work at all , bad bad experience

I gave this translator as a present to my Mom. She loves it! Easy to use and no connection to the internet is required. Can recommend to anyone, who wants to learn another language.

Very dissatisfied! I am in Russia right now, I am from the USA and meeting family for the first time and we go to use this translator and the English is correct, the Russian is NOT! They said the keyboard is not correct! We used our translator on our phones. Do not buy!

The T-88 has a vast dictionary of words, phrases, and sentences translated (both English to foreign and foreign to English) - enough to give someone an extensive knowledge. About a third of the more used phrases have audio recorded with a human speaker (the rest with good quality computer-generated speech) that has a nice range of playback speed from very slow to faster-than-normal speaking. Navigating thru the various software features is a bit clunky but usable. The touchscreen is bright with good colors (not premium by today's standards, but more than enough for learning a language), has a good range of text sizes, and most functions can be accessed with just a fingertip and not the included stylus. The keyboard layout is a bit awkward, but adequate once you get used to it. The battery life is better than average.The one bad issue is poor technical support after the sale. The Trano and Languageteacher websites' contact info is useless for asking questions (as of September 2015). The owner's manual is ok, but doesn't cover everything. The only way I was able to get questions answered was to get an alternate e-mail from the Universal Translator seller on Amazon. It was a struggle. I don't know why the manufacturer doesn't update their contact info.If you're serious about learning a language and don't have access to native speakers to train your ears, the T-88 is very helpful.
