I was skeptical when I saw the price - a bit too low for a solid, well done Damascus steel. I was right, it does have an issue but the steel isn't it. The knife arrives w/o a serviceable edge. It won't cut hot butter. Your Kershaws, Bucks, KBARs, SOG's, Benchmades, Micro Tech's etc. all arrive shaving sharp. Not this little fella. It just isn't quite finished yet. It needs the polishing wheel applied to the edges/corners of the bolsters, handles and such but it really needs a cutting edge applied.This doesn't upset me and I'm not taking any stars. It's worth the money and that, to me, is what the rating system is - is it a good value?. Yep, it is. I can spend a couple hours working this very nice chunk of Damascus and lay a nice edge on it - and really, I'd prefer that over them making a mess and me having to fix it so it is a good skinner.If you want a Damascus steel skinning knife to arrive shaving sharp with a well built edge, this isn't it. You're going to need to spend about twice as much. If you don't mind building your own edge in a skinner you intend to use yourself in the field, you've found what you're looking for.

Perfect size great quality and price and the leather sheath was decent quality although after a year it did finally break still not bad for stock quality leather

This is by far the cleanest most quality knife I've found on Amazon and I will be ordering more from Damascus Depot! Every thing down to the detail in the leather sheath just screams quality. Not to mention it came sharp enough to shave with!
