(where have our loved ones departed (if at all)
Well, for starters...Theresa Caputo is the real deal. Forget the now familiar icons--the nails, the hair, the leather and bling, the over-the-top personality, the partly edited-for-TV home life--the woman is simply a naturally gifted power source of spiritual connection, heart, and grounded integrity. I finally say this after a long period of skeptical observation of the TV version of her activities (unfortunately, often crafted as "antics" by clever film editing) and marketed to serve public curiosity, established trends of public acceptance, the hungry appetite for the non-physical reality connections and life/death parameters of personal existence. I certainly understand that...it speaks to everyone who lives and wonders about what may or may not come after this life, as we think we know it, is over...(where have our loved ones departed (if at all), and where might we end up as well?). To get a better sense of viewing it all I have removed her from the Petri dish of social media entertainment and taken a bare bones look at what she does, how she variously may do it, what she offers us for her efforts and what are the "takeaways" for those who seek or witness what she gives without apology or insistence that it be accepted. What she gives is clarifying information, indisputable evidence about each's personal connection and experience with that departed person, relief from the confusions, angers, grief, and emotional turmoil over the tragedies and deaths of those who have been part of their or our lives and are now gone from us. She does her job with clear evidence of spontaneous, loving, often humorous communication from Spirit to those she counsels--without admonishment, judgement, or her own views tainting the messages as they are offered. You can't do much better than that, in my opinion. I have over 40 years of personal study, gradual growth, layered experience and ongoing perusal of spiritual reality(ies) and have known and worked with some greatly gifted people along that time line, both those well known and those less public to view...Over that time I have also learned a thing or two about the charming phonies, power mongers, and pathetic wannabes who clutter and opportune the space around the real talent hoping to cash in on the spillover from those who really are what they say they are and can offer evidence for it whether we like it or not. So, in parting, I wish to offer a suggestion to those with "issues" around these things...do a little self-scrutiny, open up your head, put your ego aside and do some research of your own...start by examining more closely elements of your own life, experience, and relationships...read a few things you've avoided up 'til now about such spiritual matters, then go have your own experience with it after finding some credible sources of guidance (try Bob Olson's "Afterlife TV" for starters and researched advice and examples of criteria-screened practitioners--he's trustworthy, knowledgeable, and very widely connected in this field through his one-on-one video interviews with these people). Go have an adventure and open up to something that is there whether you like it or not...you just may like it. In the meantime, read either of Theresa Caputo's books...better yet, get the download audio narration versions of them available with her own narration. :-)And in closing, I send an enthusiastic shout out to Theresa Caputo (and the "real deal" men and women like her)..."You Go, Girl!" ;-)

A very Good book - but leans more towards a 'Self-Help' book - than to do with being a Medium or Afterlife. Scott M.
It's hard to write an 'Unbiased' review - when I Like Theresa to begin with. I did find - this leans more toward being a Self-Help book - than any Deep insights into the afterlife. It's a bit ironic - she claims she herself is not sure how her gifts work - yet "I" read this book - looking for answers she claims she does Not have. Also I think this book would Not be as good - without her Co-Author. - She has a knack for this. And - Ratings on this book/topic are tricky. - I mean - I give this 4-stars - but what if someone wrote a book with Answers that blew me out of the water?Spoiler alert; the following - are (some) notes I took while reading this book (and comments I have)p.14 she's a Medium - but Doesn't have all the answers.p.33-34 benefits of laughter.p.44 'Vincent' (the actor) the 'Subway Ghost' in the movie "Ghost" actually Died from Lung cancer!*Blooper* p.55 (she wrote) "Her son's death" (Wrong!!) it was "Their son's death". (there are TWO parents!)*(Blunder) she claims to 'Love Animals' - but she Likes fur coats. (Minus 40 points for Theresa!!) : (p.84 Learning from mistakes.p.94 An inspiring story about a Butterfly - a dying man and a cemetery across the street.p.97-98 about 'setting up signs - Before someone passes.p.99-100 - as souls Grow - signs can Advance.p.119 A 14 year old - with 'Make-A-Wish' Theresa visited before she died.p.129 God Isn't a person. (I Agree!)p.143 The opposite of Love is Fear.*(another Blunder!!)* p.144 Theresa's mother gave an elderly man Cigarettes - "Out of Love" : ( - That's a SICK kind of "Love" (Yuck!)p.148 'They're dimensions away"p.150 *Romance - Spirits Don't feel they're being "Replaced" when we find love again.**(This Topic Very Much Interests and Haunts me - yet I NEED 'The Math' and haven't found ANY thing written that Helps me!)p.175 There is no suffering on the otherside.p.158 Letting your Soul take over your Brain.p.172 Not feeling guilty - for being happy.p.191 "Moving on - vs. Carrying on"p.212 'Surrendering' to an illness - you Don't Give Up - you 'Let go'.**(BIG Blunder!!) she pretty much states that if we're Depressed - can't sleep etc.- then it's "Out Fault"! Grr -I've fought many long and hard battles - that (so far) Can't be won ( and I'm talking 30+ Years!!) and I know others!p.237 a Great quote by Gahandi!p.239 - The Coauthor's story - about adoption. - For me and I think this book - it just Doesn't fit!!I wish her (Coauthor) well - just can't relate to that story - and doesn't interest me.Like I said - this leans More towards a Self-Help book - than a Medium/Afterlife book.In my ratings system - this is a 7 out of 10. GREAT BOOK! Like she is talking personally to me. BUY IT!!
I was even surprised I purchased it. I am a huge fan of hers... but I didn't know I could learn anything new. Honestly... I have been around such unproductive, insecure and often uncaring people... I have forgotten all about life's happiness's... after my ex hurt me not once but twice... lost his mind and married a jewish princess who turned out to be a lesbian... together they used me for a nanny, cook, maid and I thought I was part of their family... I LOVE their little boy and he loved me... but when their marriage was clearly an abnormal one and they begun to pull their son away from me... obviously the secrets in her closet was something she feared I might spill outside the house.. so they proceeded to be psychologically abusive to me for nearly 3 yrs... hiding glasses so I could not drink from them... warning their son not to talk to me so he would come down early in the morning, hug me and whisper what he had done the day before. I think my ex was incapable of loving - anyway so much I can't tell... but Theresa touched on a few issues that touched my heart. It's too late for me now. I am too down, I am homeless cause my fixed income won't support me having my own place anymore. 25 yrs with him he could have helped me get an apartment what I ever do to him?? Get this book if you have any questions about life or death... Theresa can touch your issues in there. Bless you. And never go back in any way to an ex... he/she is an ex for a reason. Two timing dirt bag.

very down to earth and enormously uplifting 🌞
What a great book! It gives courage to enjoy life and accept yourself - just the way you are. Always try to be the best person you can be - knowing that there will be not so great days and moments where we are not quite there.. We are here to learn .. We might as well do it with joy :-))

Interesting
I just love her! I think she nailed it in the book. Nice to hear there is more to life, we all need to believe in something beyond our knowledge.
