I’m pretty tall (5’10), and found the length of the actual dress and sleeves to be adequate. The material is nice, soft and stretchy without being flimsy or see through (no slip required). Add a belt or cardigan to the embellish, and you’re all set! The top part of the dress is more fitted but not tight. The sleeves are long and not tight, and the push up easily and stay pushed up. The waist of the dress hits right about my natural waist and the skirt just covers my knees. The fit on me looks like the picture. Very pleased with my purchase; I have added another one in a different color to my Amazon cart. However, the neckline is very high, comparatively. I really like grey and black in general for clothing. I didn't want to get another black dress so I got the grey. I felt like that was the wrong color for that style. It fits really well and is very comfortable and I LOVE the pockets, but I guess I just felt kind of like I'm in a convent, if that makes sense.
