After trying these MRE boxes, I can confidently say this purchase exceeded all expectations with exceptional value that's hard to beat in today's market. The meals I've tried so far taste fantastic and serve as a real morale booster for people of our military, with the chocolate chip cookie standing out as potentially the best I've ever tasted, featuring a rich and satisfying flavor profile that proves field rations have come a long way from their reputation. The cheese and bacon spread adds another layer of quality - it's genuinely excellent and provides great variety to the meal options. The packaging deserves special mention for being beautifully executed, not only protecting the contents effectively but showing real attention to detail in presentation that demonstrates care in the manufacturing process. Quick delivery made the entire purchasing experience smooth and hassle-free. The combination of taste quality, packaging excellence, and prompt delivery creates a genuinely satisfying purchasing experience. These MRE boxes prove that military-style meals can be both practical and delicious, and whether for emergency preparedness or outdoor adventures, this purchase delivers on all fronts and comes highly recommended.

Excellent product
This item is one of those items that the price fluctuates among sellers hugely! This company seems very well priced and you have the ability to choose the individual box (A or B). They arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Include everything they are supposed to include. For those not in the know - MRE's are the military rations. These are as issued though a little different from when I was last issued them. Meals change so you need to look at what meals you want and what package they can be found. Beware of the dates as they are NOT 20 year items but do hold up very well even over 5 years. The new versions have a food heater with them. I have traveled on airlines with them but, honestly, I don't know the rule with them as a carry on item and don't think they are legal in the check in bags though the military fly them around all the time without mishaps - and if you think airlines treat bags badly you should see what a mobility bag goes through! Flavor isn't bad though, of course, some are better than others. Why MRE's versus camping rations you can buy online or at most outdoor stores? Well, there are plus and minuses to each. I want to keep this short so recommend you search it but, basically, these are not dehydrated, include a heater of which you need to add water and you can heat it (we used to carry them against our body or put them on the engine block if available, this is much more elegant). The others are pure dehydrated and need water to rehydrate. Both, if buying from quality companies for the camping versions, are basically nutritious and packed with needed things like protein and calories. The latter tend to be lighter in weight but do not include a full "meal" that the MRE's contain. Weigh, pun intended, requirements versus needs versus wants versus room in your pack and weight you can carry and decide from there!

Eating MREs is FUN and a great way to have emergency food.
I ordered these about 6 weeks ago and have gone through an entire A and B case. They were all fresh and sealed well. Contents were all in good shape. I have not had many MREs before other than a few given to me by friends in the service when I was younger. So getting to eat through the whole menu was fun. The entrees are all mostly like 5/10 but the snacks and desserts are all REALLY GOOD !! I was shocked at the quality of the snacks. The pound cake is so good and those choc chip cookies have me jonesing for more. The cheese and crackers was probably my favorite - I remember getting crackers from an MRE when i was a kid in the 80s and they tasted just like I remember. I initially bought 4 cases (2 A, 2B) and will be buying more to keep around for emergencies or road trips. I would keep them in a cooler if storing them in a car in the summer. Condiments/TP I'm no connoisseur but the coffee wasn't terrible - I don't use creamer so idk about that. There is sometimes even a tiny Tabasco bottle or a dehydrated hot sauce pack in there too! The TP is functional but you will want to stack and alternate sheets at 90 degree angles to make it usable. I wish I had access to these when I was in the Scouts. would have been way better to take with me on hiking and camping trips. At the current price (about $40/case) this works out to $3.33/MRE which is an insanely good price/calorie. The only thing to watch out for is the amount of sugar in the drinks. As a rather stagnant middle-aged guy I don't need a zillion empty calories like the young people who are out in the field burning a zillion cals a day in the sun. The chocolate "protein" drink is only 14g protein and 35g sugar. it's great and tastes like hot chocolate but you'll get the beetus if you OD on these.

MREs keep getting better
In the military, years ago, I get my first MRE in Basic Training, on the day we ran the big obstacle course. That was a fun day, and I was starving by the time we got lunch, so I rather liked it. Later, in the 90's, I got all 12 meals, and eventually got through all of them. Not bad, but not especially delicious. When I saw the whole set was slightly more than $3 each, I decided I'd try them out again. Now with 24 different meals, there is a lot more variety. Wornick is the company that makes these, so you're getting them direct for the source. Also, over the past 50 years, there have been many, many opportunities for improvement to provide a nutritious, edible, shelf-stable meal. Not many companies have nutrition and stability as their primary goals. But they do make the selection better every year. The ingredients are high-quality, for shelf-stable. The meals are well-sized by careful science and constant improvement. Each one come with a chemical heater, so each of these can be a hot meal, even in a disaster area. To my surprise, these are also high fiber, which is something I've been looking for. I'll likely skip out the sugary drink, which I'm sure is fine, because I don't need those calories. But I'll likely have everything else. I'm surprised it's not a vitamin drink. And if I don't eat them quickly, that's fine, that's be a good emergency supply.

Cheaper than most competitors
Inspection date is 7/2025 with corresponding code 5207. The contents within are from 7/2022 determined by box code 2210 and bag code 2208. Quality and quantity are correct, however, my meal 2 box did give me a duplicate of menu 19, which sucks for me because I am not a big fan of pepperjack😅. Apart from that mishap which is a simple oversight and the fault of no one but perhaps a very tired packaging working, everything else is good and solid😁. Update: after looking through the menu options from the 2022 packout, I realized my menu 19 duplicate is a possible replacement for the lemon pepper tuna, which is the menu I am missing😅. Maybe the tuna didnt pass the inspection 😅.

Surprisingly good value
I bought these for around $83 plus tax. At three meals a day that's equivalent to 8 days of foo or a little over $10/day. it's not hard to find better food to eat, but it is difficult to find food that is cheaper than this, with good variety, that is this palatable. I got these to keep in the car in case I need something to eat and they absolutely serve that purpose. The bits printed on the front about being a "warfighter" seem a bit hokey but that is worlds better than buying humanitarian MREs where i constantly have to wonder if someone scammed them out of a food aid program and I'm buying them from some amazon seller who got them through the black market.

Meal Ready to Eat - delicious choice
So fresh - So Good - we opened up the Chili beans and it included cornbread, wonderful pizza crackers, cheese spread and crackers, grape drink mix and was very delicious- I was so surprised! GREAT QUALITY CONTROL - My husband said these new MRE’s taste better than the ones he had years ago in the Army so we decided to purchased our second batch. THIS SEEMS TO BE A WONDERFUL COMPANY TO ORDER FROM!

As good as advertised! Fair deal, good quality, very satisfied.
Arrived exactly as advertised. box is nondescript and undamaged. Both cases are in as new condition, the ones we were issued when I was active duty were more "well traveled" than these. inspection dates were exactly as stated. You can always wish a thing was cheaper but, all in all, a fair price for a decent product.
