Tried this with my husband for a rare childless weekend. We've done hosted murder mystery parties and escape rooms before so are reasonably familiar with the genre, but this was our first foray into this kind of run it yourself mystery. The presentation is really good, with all the various documents and clues coming in a sealed 'classified' clear envelope. There's also a website which is used to access some of the puzzles and enter solutions. The quality of the included clues and props is really good, with a lot of attention to detail, and help really set the scene and get the players immersed in the story. We found the difficulty level about right to be able to complete in an evening, obviously this will vary depending on number of players, previous experience, and how many glasses of red wine you've consumed to that point... The instructions were clear and easy to follow, so the game can be enjoyed by anyone without needing previous experience. It's obviously a one time thing for the same players although it can be reused by others so you can pass on to friends or family afterwards. Overall we really enjoyed it, and found the story engaging and the puzzles fun to solve. The price seems pretty fair for an evening of entertainment for multiple people and the production quality. Recommended, and I'll look out for other mysteries from this company.

Great fun , interactive murder mystery case getting you to really think about all the suspects and where we're they all when the murder took place. Really enjoyed it !

Not really the traditional party game and for most people not one you'll be want to be playing while drunk. However that's what happened for us and we had a great time but still failed to solve it. Still we had a good time and it got everyone discussing and opening up a little with some good dialog and discussions and did lead on to some interesting topics later on in the night.The game itself comes in a thick clear 'evidence' bag, it looks funny given the serious nature of the crime involved, but once you open it you get the case file, with all the supporting documents that you need to read though, use the evidence and reasoning to deduct what happened. It makes use of their website to login so you'll need at least 1 person in charge of that. If you do plan on playing it again if you get it wrong, have someone to read the solution alone to see if the group has got it right or not, otherwise it's game over and the game can't continue.A fun game for a couple to play, or a larger group of people. It's fun to bounce ideas off, explain and listen to other's logic.Clearly it's not a real event, but without going into it to spoil the case it's a good game.

Came just in a plastic bag, so not great as a gift.

This is a really good date night activity, which i did with my partner. The actual presentation of this “File” is really impressive, all the clues and documents are sealed nicely and are in solid packaging to keep them in tact. With most games like these, there are some added parts on a link which you can use on your phone, but this was smooth and easy to do. I would say this is a good enough difficulty to keep you intrigued for a couple of hours but by the end you will have solved the case - which is always good and provides closure.I would say this is slightly on the expensive side as once you have completed this once, it’s a one a done type of game. But you could pass it on for family and friends to complete too.

I love the idea of these murder mystery kits! This one is great because you don’t have to have a whole group of you, you can even solve it on your own if you want to. It is quite hard, however, so perhaps it is better solved in a group where there are lots of you to puzzle it out!The quality is great, it’s well explained and lots of fun to do.
