Quality build/Update
I've been researching what sight to put on my BuckMark for months. My others have Ultradot HD Micros on them, but I did have a warranty issue with the last one that didn't sit well, so I looked at this sight as an alternative. Just got it today, but I can see it is a quality unit; nice finish, well-fitting lens caps, secure packaging. Mounted just fine and the dot is about the same as the Ultradot, but the field of view is somewhat larger and no discernable tint. There's also no negative magnification, which is noticeable on the Ultradot. In terms of size, the Nikon is a bit larger and heavier, but not a real negative.I've seen others comment that the Nikons only have a 5 year warranty versus lifetime for other makers. As I stated, I've had a less than perfect outcome with another brands' "lifetime warranty', so I really think this is not a problem, but I think Nikon should emulate their competition and offer it on their units as well. Will update when I've got it sighted in and have some range time on it.5-21-19 update. My original feelings about this sight have been proven accurate. Comparing the view with the other sights I have (Trijicon RMR, Ultradot HD Micro), the Nikon has the most natural, untinted view. It also has no perceptible magnification, plus or minus, a quality that is very plain when using the others. I liked my experience with this well enough that I just ordered two more. Ultimately, I plan on replacing the UltraDots with the Nikons (that will be three more I need!).

Incredibly well made
Currently attached to a ak47. Its my cheaper target rifle. Its never seen a case, I just toss it around, drop it, bang it, and of course fire it. Never lost its 0 from the first time I sited it in. Very impressive. Nikon makes very good quality and budget friendly optics. I own 6 or 7 different nikon products

Excellent optic for the price point
I have this optic mounted on a 10.5 inch AR pistol. I was able to zero it with a lower 1/3 cowitness with about 8 rounds of ammo. I am able to shoot silver dollar size groups at 25 yards all day long. The mount secured tightly and has not moved, I just make sure its tight before I start shooting. I shoot more accurately with this than I did my Eotech 512. The glass is super clear and the dot gets bright enough to be able to see it even when using a 300 lumen weapon light up close. Money well spent and I would highly suggest you give it a try before some of the other budget level red dots.

Cheap sight for good rifles
I ordered this intending to use it on my Saiga with a Midwest Industries railed hand guard. Unfortunately, I tightened it down to spec and it rattle a good amount. I was disappointed because the glass looked very crisp and clear compared to some other red dots I've used. I was going to return it but then I decided to give it a go on my AR built with a Sabre Defence upper receiver. I tightened it down to spec and it worked perfectly! The different risers for mounting gives you excellent options for low, lower 1/3 cowitness, or absolute cowitness. The controls are very easy to manipulate even with gloves, and the dot is nice and crisp with plenty of brightness ranges for all types of environments, including night vision. Overall I'd greatly recommend the sight, but just be warned that the picatinny mount is very picky.

Good optics, heavier than the competition
I am using this in a Daniel Defense AR-15, DDM4V7.Pros: * Clear optics * Easy to zero in. No tools necessary, the caps are also used for windage and elevation adjustments. You can also feel the "clicks" very well. * Nice selection of brightness * It seems to be well built * includes spacers to provide 1/3 co-witness or full co-witness, which are great for the AR-15 * Comes with rubber caps to protect the optics * You can turn it offCons: * Heavier than the competition. In the specs, it says 4.2 ounces. With the lowest mount it weights 5.4 ounces. With the highest mount, it weights 7.3 ounces. The mounts are solid, but "heavy".Other thoughts: * I returned a Sig Sauer Red Dot and almost returned this one as well because I was seeing a starburst shape, instead of a red dot. After contacting Nikon support and finding out that they knew almost nothing about this product, I decided to research the Internet and found out that the product was OK and I am defective. Astigmatism was the reason why I was seeing a starburst, instead of a red dot.

Cowitness on a Mini 30
Put this Superdot on my Mini 30 and love it. It came with different mounting plates as to fit several applications. i chose to use the short base so my sights would cowitness and it worked out perfect. I had tried other red dots and scopes but the Mini 30 has a very low cheek weld and I could not get anything else to work to where i would have a good cheek weld and still cowitness. Very clear even on edges and very easy to sight in. took about 5 shots to walk it in and even at 100 yards I am getting 2.5" groups with Wolf Ammo on sand bags. Not bad for a Mini 30. It is my truck gun at the ranch for pigs, coyotes, and rattlesnakes so most shots are sudden encounters 50 yards or less. Liked it so much i bought another one for my wife's Beretta Storm 9mm carbine and she loves it as well. If you have a Mini 30 this red dot is a great fit for it.

Tack Sharp and Crystal Clear
I’ve had this red dot on my Ruger MkIV Hunter for a few months now and it’s performing very well. The construction is bulletproof, the 2 MOA dot is increadably defined, there is no color distortion through the glass, and I really like the battery management features. I can easily hit a 2” diameter plate at 50 yards with this and I’m looking forward to pushing it out more.
