**Q: Does it contain iodine?**
A: it does and it's natural.

**Q: I read somewhere that companies bulk the salt with sand. Has anybody noticed this in this salt please? Also, does it dissolve well?**
A: Himalayan salt is produced in salt mines nowhere near sand it is not sea salt and is not mixed with sand. Your account appears to be a bogus account targeting our listings we have just seen another odd questions you have raised on another item under your second account and we will be raising this with amazon.

**Q: Is this salt ok for making sauerkraut**
A: I have used it in sauerkraut but it takes a lot to fully dissolve so I grind it down s little in the mortar and pestle.  It does have a much softer taste to it and I've stopped using other salts now.  Hope this helps.  Cheers Jan

**Q: Does it make the water turn pink?**
A: I only use it to season pre-cooked food. I don't season during cooking as family like to add their own salt.
Saying that I can't imagine that it would turn water pink as it is a very pale pink salt, with a greater proportion of water I don't think you would notice it!!
