Grains worked in the first batch and are growing well even in the first week.
I have been making milk kefir for about a year now and wanted to try water kefir. I got my milk kefir grains from Kombucaorganic which are amazing, so I decided to use them again for Water Kefir grains. With Water Kefir it is much harder to see when the water is fermented or if the grains are actually working. Well untill you try opening a bottle after a second ferment, then it's very obvious as you can see in my video. These grains are great they have already grown by 20% in the first week! I just use tap water (after being left in fridge open for 12 to 24 hours whilst the fluride disperses,) plain sugar and a small amount of molasses sugar (1/4 of overall sugar) The taste of this is amazing and I'm really enjoying experimenting with different flavours like lemon, strawberry, plum and blackberry (all foraged or from our vegetable garden so no pesticides, you could also use supermarket organic fruit) I would recommend, great company and great grains!

Working from the first batch
Arrived in good time and first couple of batches working well and taste great. Followed the handy instructions. Looking forward to lots of tasty water kefir in the future!

May take a while to get going!
I'm quite surprised I've only had these 5 weeks, feels like much longer 😂. So, have had these 5 weeks and have been feeding and refreshing sugar water every two days (ish) and covering with a fabric hankie over the top secured with an elastic band, they've had a bit time out in the fridge, and I've played about with quantities, timings etc. I use boiled water and leave it out (apparently let's the chlorine evaporate) To be honest, I'm not 100% sure I know what I'm doing with them, i keep tasting the water and I think it's still quite sweet (I don't drink fizzy drinks or much diluting juice, so possibly a taste bud thing) , rather than 'fermented', so I keep googling to see if I've killed them. This week I stumbled across a recipe that said add minerals such as liquid minerals, salt, and egg shell and use an anaerobic jar. So I added a little salt (no eggshell available so will try that next time) and put a lid on, and there definitely is alot more activity and a definite change in smell and taste (not unpleasant but definitely different). Drank the water once, a few weeks ago with some blitzed up blueberries. Not sure I noticed any taste of the kefir, and obviously not a regular enough production yet to see any health benefits. Maybe the kefir weren't ready. So I am keen to see how it is with the new recipe. Overall, Worth persevering with and trying different techniques and methods, worth researching and getting a method that works for you, just be aware it may take much longer than a couple of fresh rounds of sugar water so don't dispair. The first 'ferment' I did was ginger bug which took about 4/5 weeks to get started and now lives quite happily between the fridge and the kitchen bunker. Hoping my little grains get to that point too.

The taste!
When I did this for the first time and smell it I was so sceptical because the smell was so strange, but when I tasted it OMG what a surprise. It tastes better 48h after you do it but the longer to leave it there the sourer the flavour becomes so is not that good after this timeline. Now if it does good to the gut? To be honest I cannot tell. Did not notice any particular difference in anything (my acne, my gut movements), so I cannot tell if this product does what it says. However, I will still continue to buy it because is a good drink to have with meals (instead of water or sugar fruit juices).

WOAAAAHH... this is kefir on steroids!!! Amazing stuff... Highly recommend...!!!
Wow... where do I begin... so this is like our third batch of kefir and this stuff is just on another level... like it is next level kefir grains... clearly the person who does this has cultured the grains so well and allowed them to be preserved so well (due to the molasses) that even after being shipped out these kefir grains are very very healthy... by far the best grains I have ever purchased... extremely happy... the fizz off these bad boys is next level... havnt enjoyed kefir like this in a looooooong time... Normally it takes a few batches and to experiment a bit with... should we add a touch more flavor... some more sugar... more molasses... but these kefir grains are ready after the first batch is made... a big big thank you to the selle... who also shipped out a little A4 guide on how to keep the grains and how they have been cultured... its a really nice personal touch and a little reminder of how to culture kefir... big big thank you and very pleased regards H

They don't grow much and I have them before for another company
This item is a replacement for my old grains but they are not as good as the previous ones I had

Le colis est arrivé très rapidement, avant la date prévue. Les grains ont une joli couleur blanc , de bonne taille. Je prépare un litre tous les 2 jours, avec une tranche de citron avec la peau, une figue séchée, un abricot sec et une cuillère à soupe de sucre roux, tous les ingrédients bio. Ils se sont bien développés, ont grandi en taille et le goût de la boisson est très agréable et désaltérant par la chaleur.

Tuve problemas con la recepción del envío y con la cantidad de su contenido que entiendo que por error humano no cumplían la descripción de la web, pero lo resolvieron volviéndome a enviar un segundo envío sin coste alguno de una forma muy rápida. Han demostrado tener una gran seriedad. Los recomiendo.

I grani sono arrivati in perfetto stato, nei tempi indicati. Li ho messi già in produzione r stanno reagendo bene. Le istruzioni sono in inglese ma molto chiare. Ottimo prodotto, grazie.
