Great! Unexpectedly put to the test right after installation!
Weather frequently causes power fluctuation and outages. Sometimes a short blip, other times for an hour or longer which is where this UPS comes in handy. This is less expensive than others in this power range due in part to the fact that it is not a true sine wave power source. That being said a simulated sine wave unit like this is perfect for office and computer needs, even gaming. I bought this to replace an old unit (different brand) that failed. When I unpacked this new unit it came with a coax cable, USB cable and a phone line cable. Each of these permit circuit surge protection to a cable TV line, computer network line and then the USB plugs into my computer to permit monitoring and planned PC shut down should power fail to allow smooth closing of programs and saving of data. For safety reasons and to keep batteries fresh the unit ships with one battery terminal disconnected. It is necessary to open the bottom of the case requiring a Phillips screwdriver. Once open you slide the battery out, pull the tucked-in cable and then slip it on to the only battery terminal without a wire. Very simple and quick. Pop the battery back in, screw the cover on and plug into the wall. The unit powered up immediately and showed a graph on the display indicating the battery has a full charge which is comforting. The display shows Battery Charge, AC Input indicating it is plugged in to a live power source, output voltage and a bar graph indicating the power load from components that are plugged in. On the front of the panel are two USB charging ports where you can plug in cell phones or tablets etc. The rear power sockets are arranged with five battery backup & surge protected plugs on the left and five surge protected only plugs on the right. On each side there is a single plug socket moved sufficiently away from the other four to permit a wide power brick to be plugged in. I like the fact that the lighted display panel turns off after a few seconds, so the glare is not present all of the time. The middle button on the front of the unit turns the display back on. Within an hour of installing this new unit my power went off for a minute! My computer and display never flickered and I did not lose any of the work in progress whereas in the past my PC would immediately shut down with just the slightest power outage of even a second. My network local five port switch is plugged into the UPS and likewise did no lose power or signal. I should note that this takes standard UPS batteries which can be replaced by the user & the device will alert when the batteries are beginning to fail. My computers stay powered on 24X7 and I generally get a couple years life out of these batteries before they require replacing. Another point in favor of this over an older very expensive name brand UPS is the fact that the noise level is very quiet! I have three 1500va units from three different brands in the same room and the most expensive UPS is noisy with the fan always running. (Yes, I cleaned out the unit with an air hose to see if that would reduce the noise - no help!) If you find this review of any use please mark it as helpful.

1500VA 900W FULL 8-10 minutes of Monster Gaming PC rig (Nvidia 650 Watt GPU) PLUS many features!
I use a Sony 65" TV monitor (150 watts), NVIDIA 3080 GPU PC (400 watts idle, more while gaming), Sony surround receiver (50 watts) and cable modem (15 watts) with the wattage estimated. So I am using 3/4 of the 900 watt rating. I get about 8-10 minutes with everything on during a power outage, your milage may vary. I love this! So many extra features like: 1. Outlet power stability 2. Outlet power wiring check (checks to make sure its wired correctly) 3. Brownout protection 4. Displays Minutes until battery is drained 5. Battery level 6. Power draw from the unit in watts (Max 900 watts so you cant use an electric heater, haha) 7. BEEP mute button (THANK YOU) 8. Cable modem protection (surge from the cable) 9. USB protection. 10. 10 outlets (5 for battery) 2 are separated for wider plugs... on and on it goes. I had a dinky 650VA on my rig, WORTHLESS, my PC alone would drain that in 30 seconds. I spent $40 more and got this one. Easy connection out of the box. Comes charged, some fan noise when on battery or when I am gaming, which is fine. Works perfect. This thing is super heavy, Haha (Definitely not lithium which reduces fire risk if you ask me.) Great price you will save about $50 over other brands so that is a bonus! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Yes I am an actual customer, no I didn't receive a free one to review, nor do i work for the company. I just like the product.

Defective battery out of the box
The "replace battery" alarm and warning light came on immediately on powering the unit with my computer plugged in and last multiple power cycles. This being a non-returnable item, I had to go through the thankfully helpful customer support to get a refund for it. I don't trust plugging anything into it and can't find a replacement battery online for it.

Worked very well for 4 years
Ordered on October 8, 2021. Worked well with a mid-level gaming style computer and router attached at about 135VA power output. Amazingly, I would get about 45 minutes in a power outage. I got to test it each year in a storm! Winter 2021, 22, 23 and 24 it was fine! I tested October 5, 2025 and there was no backup power. So, the system just shut off after 2 seconds. I am surprised that there is no warning that the battery is not holding a charge! I am getting replacement batteries and will update if there is any trouble! At this point the UPS is past the 3 year warranty, so I am grateful I got a +1 year of function. I am hoping it has another 3 year cycle in it with new batteries. The "Mute" button was great to have. The LCD is very informative and simple to navigate. The power cable is thick with a flat angled wall plug, a great design! Protection or Protection+Backup plugs are well spaced. Plus the ethernet and coaxial in/out protect given other lines coming in that could bring power spikes. I have used Cyberpower and APC and find this to be comparable so far,

Great UPS
Works well. I keep a bunch of these that keep my house stable for up to 45 minutes during power outages.

Impossible to permanently silence the beeper
I picked this Liebert because I have become very disenchanted with the APC consumer models. They fail too often and their after-warrantee support was lack-luster (being generous here) when I tried to get it fixed that way. I have been happy with Liebert data center units, so I thought I would give one of their consumer models a try. It appears well built but of course only time will tell. It does the basics: there is monitoring/shutdown software that you install on your PC; when the power goes out, it provides power to your connected devices. Just make sure you connect those devices to the "battery protection" side. Any large-draw devices like a laser printer, or devices that are not so critical should be connected on the "surge protection only" side. My beef, and the reason for -1 star: you cannot tell the unit to never sound the alarm beeper. Every time there is a power event, you will have to push that button on the UPS. If you have pets who are sensitive to such noises, you understand why this can be a big deal. Having said that, the beeper is not as bad as some I've heard (my judgement would have been harsher) and the dogs appear to agree - but still very annoying. Note: both APC and Cyber Power allow that to be silenced permanently. Liebert data center models I have used in the past do not have this option either so I think it's a company philosophy thing.

Excellent Performance
Purchased this to protect my expensive gaming PC. So far I've had this ups system for roughly 9 months. The first one had a cracked screen (still worked, but had a crack) I returned it for another and have been pulling my power through the UPS system since. This backup has saved my computer from two live (my PC was on and running) power outages. It has also saved it from surges where we lost power and it came back on numerous times. I've never had an issue of it not powering my PC long enough to shut it down properly. This thing has been a small investment to save a much larger one, and it has, everytime. It comes with a printer looking cord (USB-A to USB-Type B) to connect from the PC to the UPS to help communication when the the power fails and the support from the UPS is need. Connecting the two has features. You can double click the "power assist" in your system tray. When it opens you see the Vertiv Power Assist program. It shows the information in the pictures. The size is about 11 1/6 inches tall about 4 inches wide, and about 17.5 inches long. I would definitely buy another if I had the need as it's saved my PC numerous times. I would recommend this for everyone who is looking for sufficient power in the form of an UPS system.

Disappointing
I’ve had many APC and Cyber Power UPSs over the years, but this was my first experience with one from Liebert. Overall, I’m not impressed and I don’t think I’d purchase again, even at a significantly discounted price. Form Factor: it’s unusually thin, but also very tall and deep compared to similar models. This might not be so bad if it were designed to be able to (optionally) be used laying on its side, but that’s not the case. As-is it’s really awkward to fit into any kind of cabinet or enclosure without wasting a ton of space. Proprietary Communications: it unfortunately uses a proprietary communication protocol. While I have been able to get it to at least be detected in in newer releases of NUT (Network UPS Tools), the status and basic charge state do not work. On older releases of NUT the UPS is not even detected. Limited Settings: there’s basically nothing on these that can be configured — no voltage range sensitivity, no way to keep the screen backlight on, etc.
