I've tried nearly all the patches. When I hit the Icy Hot Max patches I was psyched. There's nothing better than lidocaine and menthol. It's by far the best out there in my opinion. I usually rub the affected area down with Icy Hot Max cream, let it dry then apply the patch. They are sticky, as much as most others. I always tape or wrap the patch so it doesn't accidentally take a break. Good stuff for the cash, it's easy to use and it helps stop the pain, most importantly. I put one on at night and I can still feel 'heat' from it in the morning. I wish they'd make the large patches in Max.

Tried these and they have helped me with my bad back

They’re a lifesaver and a nice addition to anyone’s first aid. Be mindful of Lidocaine patches, while they are effective, they can cause further skin irritation with uneven use. You’ll need to read the directions for these as they are but a percentage point lower than prescription lidocaine patches, and depending on the individual, your symptoms may be less than worthy of using these for long term use. But for me, I had upper back pain in a particular area and they work well for about 3 hours of use, then kinda fade out over the day. You’re not supposed to use more than 3-4 a day, so i’d go along with that. If after a few hours pain is returning, or it’s in a different area, it’s fine to take the one you have off and cover the prior area and new area, it’s all dependent on how painful it is, for me I was experiencing a numbness and itchiness in that part of my back. The icyhot formula has always worked, but lidocaine is a perfect addition to their standard formula. I’m satisfied to say the least, and a little peeling doesn’t bother me I assure you when the pain is relieved. But with that said, the adhesive is abysmally bad. They really need to work on that. I advise that you take as many fabrics as you can off that may collide with the product. You can also use a little surgical tape to help keep it on if you have some handy. Otherwise, keep pressing.

Anyone who has experienced their back being pulled, then to have the pain expand to their neck and shoulder blades, will be able to relate. It all started with bringing up a bag of laundry, Santa Claus style. Something snapped and within minutes, I felt tightness starting from my spine and spreading to my neck and shoulder blades, as if I had a giant spider stretching on my back. Within hours, I was out of commission. I woke up at 3am to take pain meds and decided to purchase this product and give it a shot. A near 5 star product with so many reviews, it was promising at 3am with a delivery by 7am. I needed a miracle when I have to deal with this excruciating pain and two energetic toddlers. I was in no shape to drive to a pharmacy with that pain. Three patches and 2 days later, I couldn't believe how well this worked. I'm 95% recovered, and able to take on the world with my little ones again. 1000000% recommended.

The old version was really good! I don’t like the new version, it won’t stay and the edges of the patch are very easy to curl and detach.
